Legends Among Us
- By Believer in Magical Moments

The Muggle world has always been a mystery to us wizards, witches, and wix. What makes them tick exactly? We even have Muggle Studies to try to examine their daily lives. Here at SOUP, we are going on vacation! Or at least bringing you beautiful destinations. So, what's the happiest place on Earth? Besides Hogwarts? In the Muggle world, it's Disney. Floo powder ready? You can apparate if you want. Just be careful, mice run amok there!

For those who haven't experienced Disney Magic, let's dive into some history.

Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1901. At a young age, Walt took an interest in drawing. Taking lessons and even landing a commercial illustrator job at only 18 years young! With his ambition, I believe he would have made an excellent Slytherin! Only a few years later he moved to California with his brother, Roy Disney. With a small team, the birth of one of those mice I mentioned earlier, took place in 1928. We now know this one mouse as Mickey! The Walt Disney Company made history with Snow White. It was the first feature-length animated movie and was based off a Brothers Grimm tale. Brothers Grimm tales are much like the stories of Beedle the Bard. The Jungle Book was the last film with his personal touch.

In his lifetime he brought us the joys of Disney Land, Disney World, and Epcot. Disney World and Epcot were incomplete at his passing in 1966. That same year Albus Dumbledore became Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Speaking of which, hold on tight we've got parks to visit!

It's a Small World, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Space Mountain, and The Pirates of the Caribbean are some of the most popular attractions at Disney World. Opening in 1971, the park sees roughly 52 million people a year. This means its the most visited park in the entire world! Walt Disney World was named as a memorial to the man who started it all.

This is definitely a park for the whole family! The kids will love getting to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Cinderella, Baloo, Buzz Lightyear, and Sulley - just to name a few. Maybe while you're waiting to see them you will hop on Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride. You'll feel just like a Weasley in Egypt!

If animals are your thing, right down the road (I recommend apparition) is the Animal Kingdom. You can see many animals from around the world. Maybe teach the little ones about the lions around the waterhole?

I hope you all enjoy your Disney Vacation! This is Salazia sneaking anyway. I'm off to see what the Muggles did with the "wizarding world" they've created. Don't forget to believe in Magic!
