A Future of Hope
- Eowara of Rohan

Eowara was sat reading a book when she noticed a piece of paper had fallen to the floor. She picked it up and saw that it was one of her old poems she'd written in the darkness that had been in Middle Earth only a matter of months previously. The words spoke so true to her at that moment. She read the words and was glad that she'd written it down.

In the darkness of these times, I must hold on to the light. I must hold on to the future Where the light will dominate the world again.

Between Uncle's plight and
The threat of Saruman and Sauron
There is nothing but darkness
I must hold onto the light.

It will come again
I know it will.
Rohan and Gondor will have Kings
And everything will be put right.

Crowns will be worn
Celebrations will be had
Days will be brighter and
The dark days are gone.

My sister believes the evil will lose
And I have to believe it too.
I want the days of darkness to end
And evil to be gone.

The storm clouds have gathered
Above my head
I can feel it all the time
The dark and stormy times.

The brighter days
Are what I'm holding onto
I have to hold onto them
Or what is there to hold onto.

There will be brighter days
Full of sunshine and happiness.
I will hold onto that.
No matter what happens.

Eowara smiled as she finished reading the poem and tucked it into a pocket of her dress. She made a note to show it to her sister and Faramir when she next saw them.
