Legends Among Us, 2.0
- Sally the SOUP Snake

Hello and welcome to our Legends Among Us 2.0 exhibit in the SOUP Offices. We have decided to turn our outer offices into a makeshift gallery for your viewing pleasure! Each month we shall endeavor to bring you delightful works from your fellow snakes who have been honored with our monthly awards across our various subforums.

So without further ado I invite you to join me at this month's gallery opening! First up, we have our beloved Heir of Slytherin for September 2024, Kate FoxWolf!

Hey there, all you lovely Snakes! My name is Kate and I'm honoured to be the Heir of Slytherin for September. For those of you who don't know me, I've been on HEX since 2015. I joined Slytherin in January 2020 as it was where I felt I needed to be. Since then, I've been doing everything I can behind the scenes to ensure we are the best house there is. Whether it's through my work in the Subforum SKWAD or as the Co-Editor for SOUP, I always give my all to making sure that our house is a welcoming, fun, and engaging place.

Outside of my dedication to Slytherin, I absolutely LOVE Magical Games and Sports. I used to be on the Slytherin Quidditch team, and since it stopped, I've worked hard as part of the MG&S department to moderate the Quidditch Pitch. I'm also part of the team that brings you other exciting games, such as Gobstones. It's such a special place to be, and I can't wait to keep surprising you all with all the fun things we have planned for the future.

In real life, I'm a SAHM to three kids and two dogs, which is both rewarding and challenging at times. I enjoy cooking, dancing, listening to music, and solving puzzles - even at the same time on occasion! It is not unusual to see me dancing around the kitchen, cooking with my laptop beside me with both YouTube and HEX open. So, even if I am not the chattiest in the threads because I'm busy being a mom, I'm always available by owl. If you have any questions about Slytherin, SOUP or MG&S, just drop me a line, and I'll get back to you!

And, of course, I can't go without dropping off pictures of the cutest pups around!

Next, we move on to our busy Snakelet of the Month, charlie_is_here_!

Hi I'm Charlie, a person who loves music on a deeper level, does competitive swimming, read,s and draws (amateur level). This is my own drawing regarding the topic "future". It depicts how some people think that the future is going to be bright, with robots to help us and stuff like that, while at the same time, some people think our earth could end up in destruction. What do I think? That is up to you to figure out.

Closely tied to our Snakelet is our Pythonidae of the Month also over in the Serpent's Nest! Our winner for this award for this month is RazorBlade2!

Hello to all my Fellow Snakes!

My name is Matthew, friends call me Matt or Razor. I'm honored to have been named Pythonidae of the Month. I enjoy the beach and being near the ocean. I will try to do all types of contests except the role-playing ones. My favorite things to collect are dragons, beans, and animal models. The one career I truly want is Magizoologist, hopefully, it will get coded this year. I have truly enjoyed all my years on HEX and being in Slytherin. I'm a simple guy who works with great Slytherins who are inspirational and dedicated to our house. It was AMAZING to be part of a determined and organized group of Snakes this year to win the House Cup finally!

Matt

Last, but certainly not least, we leave you with these thoughts written by our latest Noble Slytherin, shxdowblxde!

Hey everyone, it's Vanya again, this time as the Noble Slytherin. Firstly, thank you for letiing me have the honor of being Noble Slytherin. This month's theme is The Future which I have thought a lot about.

Star Wars comes to my mind when I hear the word future. There might be a possibility where humans might be able to fly through space almost at half the speed of light as physics won't allow to travel at the speed of light. The idea of having that kind of future is truly wonderful provided that humans don't end up destroying themselves.

The other idea of future is what is shown in the comic "The True Lives of Fabulous Killjoys" by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, where it is dystopian but I really liked it. It has a city where self-expression is suppressed and the government tells people what to wear and what to use. Then there are the band of rebels called Killjoys who dress up in bright colours and fight with laser guns. The Girl is the main character; the entire plot boiling down to what she chooses to do.

As for my future, I just go with the flow as that is less stressful. And once again SLYTHERIN FOR HOUSE CUP 24-25!!!

I think I can speak for all of us in saying that we wholeheartedly thank each of these brave souls for sharing a bit of themselves with us! Artwork in every form is usually something quite personal to each of us. We here at SOUP send our deepest gratitude and love to each of these amazing people!

Join me next month as we take a deeper dive into our next award winners in the noble house of Slytherin! This is your resident SOUP Snake, signing off as it's time for a snack!
