Hello everyone! Harvestmath has arrived in the Shire and that means it has been a little hard to get a book read but, never fear, I have actually started reading a book and I'm going to tell you about it now.
What happens when love and college mix? Well that is the story that is told in Begin Again by Emma Lord. We are introduced to Andie Rose, a student who is transferring mid-year to the same college her boyfriend is studying at because she misses him a lot. It's also the college her mother went to and has been her dream school. Andie arrives at Blue Ridge State and goes to surprise her boyfriend, Connor, only to find out that Connor has transferred to be with her. Now that is love indeed. You may be wondering why this happened... Andie never told Connor that she was transferring to be with him. Her plan had been to surprise him at the start of term.
This leaves the two with no option but to go long distance relationship and I cannot even begin to imagine how hard that must have been for them both. Andie should have just told Connor and all this could have been avoided but if they really love each other then they'd make it work. Andie and Connor agree to make it work because they do love each other and have been together for a number of years already.
Andie moved colleges because her mother attended Blue Ridge State before she passed away and that is something that I cannot imagine as well. Andie loved, and still does, love her mother dearly and I cannot begin to imagine the relief that she must have felt knowing she was going to be able to carry on her mother's legacy at the school. It appears to bring her some comfort despite her rocky relationship with Connor.
Speaking of that part of the story, Andie and Connor's relationship is a very rocky one and the two are doing everything in their power to make it work. There is the option for Connor to transfer back. This depends on a number of things and Andie even considers giving up on being at her dream school to move to be with Connor once more.
The point I am up to in the story is that there seems to be a love triangle starting as Andie RA, Milo, appears to be developing feelings for Andie as well. This is rather interesting to me as Andie's relationship with Connor is on the rocks as it is and now she seems to be forming a connection with Milo. I do wonder what Andie is going to do because she does love Connor but things seem to be going from bad to worse. I really do hope she will be able to figure things out.
Anyway I'm going to end here so I can read some more of the story before going to Harvestmath. Ellieanarose should be back next month.
