"Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the 'hero' within us is revealed." - Bob Riley
What does a Hero look like to you, dear reader? Are they the ones who can fly and lift huge vehicles with just their pinky finger? Or are they the very real people who get up every day and step up to fight the endless fight no matter how much they may be struggling themselves? A Hero can be many things, from fantastical to that special person in our lives that makes everything seem better. So, this SOUP issue is all about those who make a difference.
Luckily, the theme was warmly embraced by our writers, who gladly donned their capes and expressed their deeply founded respect for those special people they know or look up to. Well..... most of them did anyway. Never a month goes by without some sort of villainous treachery in these offices. We still don't know who the instigator was this time, but a small team of Curse Breakers was needed to extricate Wolf from her office. But you can rest assured the villains will be discovered and dealt with accordingly. So, while that investigation continues, why don't you get ready for all the spectacular offerings we have for you?
Prepare for a ticker-tape parade of heroes this month, everyone. Why not start out with a tribute to a personal hero by enjoying the poetic My Uncle, My Hero? For musings on what is a hero, you can ponder both Dear Draco: Heroes All Around Us and What is a Hero, Anyway? Want something a bit closer to home? Check out A Hero in My Mom as well as this month's Legends Among Us 2.0 for heroes within our midst!
You would think that an entire office full of heroes, hero-worshippers, and hero wannabes would have no trouble at all in discovering what - and who - was behind the dastardly deed perpetrated on our dear Wolf. Alas, even Gringotts' finest were left scratching their heads as to how a concoction of Decoy Detonators, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, two Bowtruckles, and a cursed piece of Spellotape managed to so securely barricade the door to Wolf's office. Must have been Peeves, right? Right???

Make sure you return next time for another bright and chaotic issue of SOUP. Who knows what may be in store? The only sure thing is that this Wolf, Kitten, and Dragon will be yet again trying to prevent our troublesome writers from getting sent to Azkaban for their dastardly shenanigans! Do you have any ideas for future issues? Owl an editor or post in the Common Room thread and let us know!
