Hello and welcome to our Legends Among Us 2.0 exhibit here in the SOUP Offices. We have decided to turn our outer offices into a makeshift gallery for your viewing pleasure! Each month we shall endeavor to bring you delightful works from your fellow snakes who have been honored with our monthly awards across our various subforums.
So, without further ado, I invite you to join me at this month's gallery opening! First up, we have our beloved Heir of Slytherin for June 2024, Amity CatWalnut! She was also the recipient of June's Magical Muse award!
Hello y'all, I'm Amy T. (Amity CatWalnut). I am truly honored and humbled to be chosen Heir of Slytherin. Thank you so very much for the privilege. The rather strange "CatWalnut" portion of my name came from the username that I had in Pottermore. Yes, I was one of the hundreds of refugees who jumped the Pottermore ship and flooded HEX. I'm a retiree from the field of architecture, a wife, a mother of two (adults ages 33 and 37), and a grandmother of one.
HEX is a wonderful community and one that not only provides wonderful friendships but also provides many activities that keep my mind and creative juices moving. I love the various puzzles and use the graphic activities to encourage myself to draw again. Before HEX, I'd had an over 35-year hiatus from drawing and sketching.
To me, this community is full of heroes. It is full of helpful people. There are people to lend an ear; there are people to give sage advice; there are people to commiserate with. Although virtual, the hugs and gifts that people offer each other are invaluable. The different discussions are also insightful. Many of them are helpful in helping people deal with a variety of issues.
Below is a plate that I painted/glazed with my daughter on Mother's Day of this year.
Closely tied to our Snakelet is our Pythonidae of the Month, also over in the Serpent's Nest! Our winner for this award for this month is ally0909!
Hi everyone! I'm happy to be here again and have this chance to be a part of this article! I was thrilled that I had won the Pythondiae of the Month title. I have had a great time chatting with all of our fellow snakes and cheering on our house as we near the end of the term. I love our house and meeting all of you!
Superheroes have always been big in my house, we had comics on the walls in the living room and hallways. I've loved Marvel the most growing up, my dad was a big Stan Lee fan. My favorite superheroes are Spiderman (of course) and Black Widow. I've also loved The Flash recently, it's been one of my favorite shows to watch. I recommend it if you haven't seen it yet!
Our next shining snake comes to us as the winner of our Industrious Snake Award, Taunia xD!
Hi, I'm Taunia, a green-coloured meme enthusiast, puzzle-loving graphics beginner (for 5 years). Yup, that pretty much sums up everything about me. And here's a portrait panda I drew that shows me in the mornings, on Mondays, and when I didn't catch any round of Lock-&-Unlock contests.
How about we hop on over to an offering from the winner of our Community Hero Award, Sera Rein!
Hi, thank you for the Community Hero Award! One thing about me is that I usually go for simple, uncomplicated stuff unless I feel like a heavy explanation is necessary. Without further ado, here's a haiku for this month's theme, Heroes.
Good deeds make heroes
And anyone can be one
Unsung without praise

I think I can speak for all of us in saying that we wholeheartedly thank each of these brave souls for sharing a bit of themselves with us! Artwork in every form is usually something quite personal to each of us. We here at SOUP send our deepest gratitude and love to each of these amazing people!
Join me next month as we dive deeper into our next award winners in the noble house of Slytherin! This is your resident SOUP Snake, signing off as it's time for a snack!
