"As you get older, three things happen: The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two. -Norman Wisdom
I don't know about you, but this summer has been flying by on a Nimbus 2001, if not a Firebolt for me. I keep losing hours and entire days at a time. Is it ageing as birthdays continue to tick on by? Or is it something far more sinister? If you figure it out, let me know!
This month, the SOUP Editors decided to celebrate everyone's birthday -all at once! The spectacle was as grand as one would expect, with our dearest Tabitha leading the charge. Catering was top-notch. The decor was elegant yet whimsical. And don't get me started on the guest list! I could swear I saw Aiden Lynch near the punch table at one point. Lugh practically demanded fireworks, but Kalina was nowhere to be found. Quite the mystery, that is.
Are you ready to embark on a birthday celebration of your own? Then why not start by considering various activities such as those suggested Birthday Traditions? If you like a quieter type of celebration, indulge in 11 Birthdays - we did, and it was quite a fun read. Next up, have a good time with Puzzling Things or enjoy the accomplishments of Legends Among Us, or both. Finally, consider the Splended Celebrations of the sports-minded snakes. But, above all, have fun!
After such a spectacular celebration, the SOUP offices got really quiet for a few days as our writers rested their dancing feet and tried to recover from their sugar-induced comas. It gave our Editors plenty of time to plan our future issues without the constant onslaught of fireworks and whining that their themes aren't fair. There is no doubt that the peace won't last long, though, especially with Lugh, Kalina, and Tabitha around. So take the time while you can and enjoy our latest issue with a large slice of cake and some great party tunes!

Don't forget to come back for the next issue of SOUP to find out where Kalina has gone. Should we be concerned about her disappearance?
