When I think of pirates and the sea,
I think of the Corsairs of Umbar
The seafaring Pirates of Middle Earth
Who invaded Pelagir.
They took to pillaging and piracy,
Along Gondor's coast
They were dark Númenóreans
Who only cared for evil.
They claimed Pelagir
In their quest to aid Sauron.
But Aragorn defeated them,
Coming to Pelenor.
The Corsairs lived in Umbar and Harad,
And lived long lives at first.
Their lives began to shorten,
But they were still full of evil.
They fought against Gondor,
Lost and then won again,
Installing terror in everyone
They ever came near.
I hear they killed a King
And took back their homeland.
They were truly full of darkness.
I am glad I never met you.
There are books
In Gondor's Library.
I have read all about them,
And they did scare me a little.
Aragorn will defeat them again
When he invades Umbar.
And once and for all
The threat will be gone!
