Letter from the Editors
- A dragon, a feline, & a wolf

To steal a phrase from a famous and rather cuddly Muggle children's book character, "There's a rumbly in my tumbly." I don't know about you, but I'm hungry. In fact, I am almost always hungry anymore. I tend to be a 'grazer' and eat small amounts throughout the day rather than just three big meals. Though, I also love a good party, whether it be a birthday, an anniversary, or a wedding. Frankly, though a sad situation, funeral meals have also been absolutely lovely with good food and remembrances. If you haven't guessed it yet, September's issue focuses solely around Frivolous Feasts. Won't you come join us?

For an appetizer, we suggest that you sample the tasty and informative News and Noteworthy article. It gives you a lovely smorgasbord of happenings to pick and choose from. Next up, for the breads course, is Biscuits with a rather interesting twist. We feature not one, but two main-course articles: A Monster of a Mess and Literary Wonders. For dessert, why not try Summer Fruit Sunday? And if all that munching has given you a bit of indigestion, check out Potent Potions! It'll have you feeling your best in no time.

We hate to say it, but it looks like both the writers and the Editors alike may need to get back on their healthy eating plans after this month's issue. The SOUP offices have been drowning under a mountain of delicious baked goods and other such wonderful treats. And yes, we are looking at you, Nikita and little dragon..... So much so that it's bound to have made us put on a few pounds. This wolf is certainly feeling it for sure. Now the issue is done; however, we can all go for a nice brisk walk to work it off while you, our lovely readers, get to sample the fantastic feasts we have in store for you

So make sure to grab your favorite snacks and join us by checking out our newest issue of SOUP, where you can see what our writers have to say on the subject. There's a little bit of everything - from several different perspectives, so we're sure you'll find something that is of interest to you. We hope you have as much fun reading as we did writing!
