Daphne Greengrass prided herself on having learned how to host events, especially catered events, from her mother. From a young age, Daphne learned how to create menus, wine accompaniments and even music by the age of 14, a true feat for a witch. Her mother was confident in her daughter's abilities, so much so that most of the events hosted by the Greengrasses were Daphne's creations.

Of course, she loved everything, but her favourite was creating the menu. Whether it was a simple three-course meal or a complex seven-course, Daphne loved deciding on themed dishes, always trying to find menus that were perfect for the event.

Her latest hosted event was to honour her sister's birthday. Astoria passed away a year ago, and it was the first anniversary of her death. Draco was, as expected, still mourning the loss of his wife and the mother to his son, so Daphne took it upon herself to plan a small event in her sister's memory.

Astoria always loved shortbread with strawberries and cream. It became a fast favourite with her younger sister, so Daphne found a strawberry shortbread recipe, planning to serve it with clotted cream. Astoria would have loved that, and Daphne knew it. She then thought about the other courses when fish came into her head. That was an important course, but she knew that she wanted it to be a five-course meal.

Daphne shut herself away as she focused on making the meal the perfect way to honour her sister. She wanted it to be a celebration of Astoria, including as many dishes that her sister loved and adored. She was able to, after a few days, come up with a meal that her sister might even be jealous of.

There was prawn toast to start with, followed by potato skins with various toppings; then the salmon fish course served with various accompaniments, so everyone had one they enjoyed. After that came a fruit-based course. After the heaviness, Daphne decided that the meal would benefit from a lighter and more casual course, as Astoria loved both formality and being able to mix with the guests. Then, finally, the strawberry shortbread and clotted cream dessert would be served. She organised all of the wines and drinks and was incredibly happy with her work.

For the first time in a while, Daphne managed to get a smile out of her brother-in-law as she explained every part of the meal to Draco. He was happy that Astoria would never be forgotten, and he asked Daphne to share some of his wife's favourite foods, so he could attempt to recreate them for Scorpius.
