"What's done cannot be undone." - Lady Macbeth (Act 5, Scene 1)

That's an interesting thought, isn't it, dear reader? Lady Macbeth may have ended up madder than a Kneazle in a box, but Shakespeare certainly gave her the gift of insight at times. Well, in this quote, at least. We can definitely agree that she has a point, though. It doesn't matter if you apply it to actions or words; once we have said or done something to hurt someone else, it doesn't matter if you say sorry. The pain is still there. What does that have to do with SOUP? The answer is quite simple! For this month's theme of Macbeth and Murder Mysteries, our writers have been exploring everything from the dark side of Shakespeare to Scottish recipes and good old-fashioned cluedo-style mysteries. But don't take our word for it! Grab your cloak and dagger, and follow us on a journey through the bloody tales that are bound to keep you up at night!

For the first act, why not ease into our topic by checking out all the local news in Spooky Spotlights? You can follow that up with a Scottish visit in Dear Draco. At intermission, don't forget to check out Bannocks for Breakfast - it's sure to be enjoyable! For Act Two, we bring you a Shakespeare focus in Macbeth, Lugh's Ranting, and Perfectly Placed Potions. And, as always, the orchestra will accompany you with our Monthly Playlist.

After a thorough scrubbing, the SOUP Offices have been put to rights, but something appears to be missing. Or, perhaps it should be someone is missing... but who? The editors have been scouring their lists and parchments in a bid to figure it out but are coming up short. Beloved pets and tchotchkes are all accounted for as are the entire 48 crates of past issues in the storeroom. This is puzzling. Who do YOU think is missing? Let us know in the CR thread.

Be sure to leave some feedback over in the Common Room SOUP thread once you've finished for a participation Jewel! Go ahead and click the first article now!

Don't forget to come back for the next issue of SOUP and find out if any of our editors or writers were tossed in the dark, spooky dungeons of Castle Macbeth. There is always bound to be one, you know...
