As you might have noticed, I'm not Aditya, the original writer of Potent Potions, but I am Lord-No Nose, his friend. Most people just call me No-Nose without the Lord, but I expect everybody else to call me Lord or Lord-No Nose.
I'm a very famous potioneer actually, so this column was right in my field! Although, the theme baffled me. I mean, potions and theatre? What relation do they have except for sharing the letter T? I did go to NK to ask for a special theme for this article alone, but she couldn't allow such an extravagance. Like seriously, this article is to give knowledge to our readers about potions, it's not about matching the month's theme. Dejected, I went to the basement of the SOUP office the super secret small SOUP library to learn about some obscure potions that can match the theme.
Of course, it didn't have anything. So, I headed to the Potioneer Library, located in the meeting place of the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers. Days I spent in the quiet hall, flipping through the books. After tireless researching of flipping through 3 books and losing tens hundreds of notes of ingredients that might be included in a potion I was planning to make, at last, I stumbled upon that fabled theatre-related potion (or more appropriate, potions): the Tear-Inducing potion, Elixir to Induce Euphoria, Anger-Inducing potion, and the Sadness-Inducing potion. I've never really been cast into any play or whatnot so I really have no idea what is difficult for actors, but I assumed that the emotions of happiness, sadness, anger, and crying would be difficult so here we are!
The Sadness-Inducing potion and the Tear-Inducing potion do just the things the names suggest. The Sadness-Inducing potion brings all your sad memories to you causing you to get depressed and melancholic, though it depends on the amount of the potion you took. It sometimes can even cause you to cry if you drank lots of it. The Tear-Inducing potion produces tears. It works really the same way as the sadness potion, just that the memories make you cry harder. They sometimes even make you cry your eyes out, bawling like a child! That would be extremely fun to watch, at least for me. Who knows, you might even make a river flow by drinking a full bottle of this potion! I'd love to see somebody try.
The Anger-Inducing potion, I don't know exactly how it works, but it can make you pretty angry. This potion is to be taken in very small doses, as a large dose can make you angry enough to break a chair (if you have the strength). Just pour a little of it onto a spoon, throw it in your mouth, and kick back and wait a few moments (less than 5 seconds). Remember, small doses, or else you may end up burning down the set. Of course, it would be both exciting and scary to watch that.
The last and final one on my, Lord-No Nose's, list of potions is *drumrolls* the Elixir to Induce Euphoria. I don't actually think that expressing happiness is a very difficult thing, but I'm not an actor *shrugs*. So, this potion is really good. It really just makes you happy. Like the Anger-Inducing potion, only take small doses. Too much of this is not good at all. Of course, you might feel tempted to take much of it due to its golden hue, but nope! Not at all.
So, I hope you found this informative. Of course, Aditya would write a ton of useless information on these, but I'm not like that. Straight to the point, I like it. Please tell me how you liked these potions, though you'd have to find my address first. Anyway, you can get these potions in Mulpepper's Apothecary, the apothecary in Knockturn Alley.
Till then, Lord-No Nose is gone with a nose!
