Hello there everyone, it is Katie_slytherin here bringing you SOUPerlatives! This month we get to cover one of the best themes - THEATER! I've decided that our categories will be Musicals! It will definitely be interesting to see which of our friends will hang out with America's Founding Fathers and which of our friends will travel to the Netherworld! So grab grab your PlayBill, take a seat and hold onto your butts as we act our way through these SOUPerlatives! (Please remember to silence all those square Muggle during the show!)
- Dear Evan Hansen: Have you ever felt on the outside looking in? Have you ever felt like you could disappear, like you could fall and no one would hear? This person has been through many struggles, and while life isn't perfect, everything will fall into its place. Just remember, even when you're broken on the ground, you will be found.
Severus Snape
- Beetlejuice: Death, grief, ghosts, and a crazy demon who just wants to be seen (and wreak havoc). Similar to this musical, this person is hilarious, but can also be serious (but mostly comedic).
George Weasley
- Hamilton: An orphan who climbs to the top making friends and enemies along the way?! Not to mention how famous this musical is. I sure wonder who will receive this SOUPerlative.
Harry Potter
- Kinky Boots: Do what makes you happy, chase your dreams, but most importantly, be your authentic amazing self. You might feel uncertain at first, but they are a good hearted, inspirational person!
Sirius Black
- The Prom: This person has an unruly heart, but that won't stop them from building a prom for EVERYONE. This charactecter is not afraid to be themselves and stand up for what they believe in, no matter what the rest of the world may think.
Luna Lovegood
- Six: With a musical starring half a dozen queen bees, this SOUPerlative goes to someone who embodies girl power (and education).
Hermione Granger
- Heathers: Things get complicated when this character's dreams of becoming popular finally come true. Perhaps being the talk of the school isn't all that it's hyped up to be, especially now that a villain has their eyes on you.
Ron Weasley
- Book of Mormon: This person may seem fun and innocent on the outside, but less than an hour in, you realize this is not at all what you expected. How can something so seemingly innocent be so wrong?
Dolores Umbridge
- The Addams Family: This spooky friend can appear quite frightening, but once you get past their unusualness, you'll see that they have a story just like everybody else.
The Bloody Baron
- Once on This Island: This character shows us the uniqueness of life as well as giving us a new perspective that the people in white (or in this case green) aren't as bad as others make them seem.
Horace Slughorn
- Wicked: Things aren't as black and white as they may seem. There's a reason why the wicked are wicked. Every villain has a backstory. The question is, will you sympathize with them enough to forgive their actions?
Tom Riddle
- Into The Woods: It's not as simple as classic fairy tales coming together. What seems to be innocent stories transforms into reality and grief. Escaping from reality is all fun and games until it catches up. But maybe there is a happily ever after, even when you've seen the tragedies of the wood.
Scorpius Malfoy
So, what do you think? Have we magically matched these SOUPerlatives or do you think that someone else more readily personifies one of these musicals? Perhaps you want to add some more categories? Come tell us how awful we did over in our SOUP thread in the Common Room!
Until I reemerge from my cave again, this is goodbye from your favourite socktastically pureblooded Slytherin!
