There are so many beginnings meaning far different things. Midnight starts a new day. January starts a new year. The first starts a new month. A sentence begins a story. A birth begins a new life. I know I know, but what does this have to do with the puzzle? I'm getting there.
Language had to begin somewhere. Let us look back in time. Latin is one of the earliest known classical languages, so using Latin for this puzzle seemed like an interesting idea. Unfortunately, I had to get some help with preparing this puzzle from a house elf, who horribly misunderstood me. Instead of helping me translate this into Latin, he translated it into Pig Latin... and then lost the key.
Can you help translate this well-known beginning back into English?
