Welcome back to SOUP's News and Noteworthy article. Talking of fresh beginnings, SOUP has one! We're back and better than ever, and we hope you're here to join us on our journey. I guess if you're reading this... You are already doing so though. So maybe that's unnecessary to say. Oh well! Moving on to more news. We'll start off staying inside of Slytherin.
The Study Forum, now better known as the Study Cafe, has recently had a new beginning! Each year fresh threads are made for everyone to partake in the incentives, and this year we added on some new incentives and activities for everyone to enjoy. We also introduced a participation raffle for this forum (where you can earn a shining title!), as well as a How-To to help users get around.
Sort of relating to our house is also the House Cup! A new beginning happened there, as each year brings to us. As I'm writing this, we are in 3rd place, with the Hufflepuffs not being very far behind us. This means we should get to work on earning ourselves, and our house, some of those fancy, shiny House Points. Homework has returned and a new term is ahead of us.
More big news relating to homework is that some of the careers have finally been brought out to the public! These are the Obliviator career, first offered in 2012, where you can erase one's memories causing them to temporarily forget their career and replace their posts with absent-minded thoughts as well as confuse users and cause them to wander around the site. Next up is Healer, first offered in 2012 as well, where your health is increased to 75HP, you can restore a user's health points, and snag a prank cure. Thirdly, we have Magical Law Enforcement, first offered in 2015, where you're able to view recently used pranks, notify Healers of an affliction, and post wanted posters that are found on the Advertisement page.
Moving on to Ghoul Task Force, first offered in 2013, you're able to summon Peeves to prank a forum and access the DM Multiplier hour a second time in the day. Then we have Curse Breaker, first offered in 2012, where you have a 75% chance to block common prank items, and you can cast Finite Incantatem for 0 MP twice per day. Lastly, we have the very soon to come out (as of this writing) Professional Quidditch Player which was first taught in 2014. This career lets you see through the Dark Mark Pendant, practice Quidditch to collect a weekly payout and show off your moves!
All of the information about this can be found on the careers page, which can be found under the 'Classes' section on the sidebar.
Now we shall move out of our house since I suppose the rest of this site matters too. Have you heard the big competition Roleplay Factor is currently happening? It'll last until the 31st of October when the winners are announced. Round 3 knocked out 3 lovely Slytherins that took a shot in the competition, and I wish to give them a quick shout-out. Good job to Ninavv, Narcissa Black, and Goatlover16! Along with giving them a shout-out, I also want to wish any other Slytherin contestants that could still be in the competition good luck! You've got this.
That's it. That's all the news I've got for you for October. You should now be up-to-date with HEX's most recent events and happenings. Until we meet again.
