- Mair & Kitten

A dazzling sunrise, a blank sheath of parchment, an empty canvas. A baby kitten's first breath, the cracking of a dragon egg, do you catch our drift yet? Start of term, empty house point hourglasses. How about now? SOUP has returned once again with a new look and some new staffers. What better way to celebrate our first issue after a hiatus than New Beginnings? That's right for the month of October we bring you our thoughts and ideas regarding new beginnings... sort of. We haven't yet figured out how to get our writers to do what we say. *shrugs* Ah well. We at least hope it amuses our readers.

Now, I don't know about you but I prefer having a bit of a snack when I read. Head on over and see what famed Kitchen Witch, Momma Fox has in store for you this month in our Recipe Box. A different type of Fox has all the news readily available for their fellow snakes in News & Noteworthy while your favorite pureblood, Katie wants to play a game of Would You Rather? to go along with our monthly offering of Puzzling Things brought to you by Erin. And you didn't hear this from me, but I think you should also go check out what Rita's quill was up to in Sekrit Adventures...

Back in the SOUP offices, it's also been a fresh start - new faces, new cubes, new vistas. Which would be wonderful if I didn't keep wandering into the wrong area out of habit. One of these days, Kitten's going to have to sit on me to keep me in the right place! Speaking of fresh starts and new beginnings, we've spruced up the look of our tome as well, thanks to some inspired in-House designing. We hope you like it as much as we do! And while you're checking out the lovely new background, why not queue up the suggestions in the Music Playlist and check out the rest of the fresh, new publication!

Be sure to leave some feedback over in the Common Room SOUP thread once you've finished. Go ahead and click the first article now!

Now it's naptime for a dragon and a feline.
