Legends Among Us
By Milena Racheli

As we look at new beginnings, we might not directly think about legends. Yet, this article is called "legends among us".

The Slytherin we shall be talking about in this article, however, has not been on HEX for ages. Most likely, they have been here for around 3 and a half years. Not much, we might say. What are those years, however, in the wide sea of time with all the legends that can be found there?

Wondering who this legend of the month might be, I sit down in Madam Puddifoot's shop between all the couples who can't keep their eyes from one another. I wonder why my guest is so late. Right before my eyelids slowly close because of the heat in the shop and the dreamy atmosphere, I hear the door open. There she is, gracefully walking towards me. I can see she is fairly tall and wears a warm smile, though some might consider her to be cold.
Her name, I believe, is Narcissa Black. We order our drinks (I chose chocolate milk while she, of course, chose a cup of hot, spicy tea) and I introduce myself before quickly starting the interview. This is, I believe, how we do that as journalists. Even though being a journalist is a whole new beginning for me in and of itself.

MR: Good evening, Narcissa Black. If I may ask, how does it feel to be SOUP's Legend?
NB: A legend? I would not say I am a legend, yet...

MR: Not yet? Well... but then surely that means you have plans to become a legend eventually?
NB: Of course I do. We Slytherins are ambitious for a reason, aren't we?

MR: Very true. To dive right in, what are your greatest ambitions and how do you plan to achieve them?
NB: It is not good to talk about ambitions in that way, I believe. It is best to show, not tell. This is true for many parts of life, I think.

MR: Is it? I mean... all right. What would you say your most Slytherin-like personality traits are? I mean, you must possess some of those?
NB: I do. I believe I am ambitious and determined above all. Those might fit Slytherin the most I think. I do not know if I am cunning and resourceful, though. Those might be the traits often associated with Slytherin.

MR: Very nice! Could you give me an example of a moment when you were most determined?
NB: I do believe that me working for my dreams and never giving up on those has to do with determination. I do not easily give up on a dream or passion.

MR: Now I am wondering what your passions are. Would you mind sharing one of your passions with us?
NB: Very well, I can share that I would love to do something for the environment and nature. Though it is difficult to do as I live in a country/region where the only nature we see are parks and the beach. That can be rather sad.

MR: We heard that you were the Heir of Slytherin last month. What were your experiences as the Heir of Slytherin?
NB: It was lovely, I enjoyed it and it was a reason to become more active on HEX for a moment. I enjoyed chatting with fellow house members and being here. It was an honour.

MR: The theme of this article is "new beginnings". If you could begin something on HEX, what would it be?
NB: I do not know. Perhaps a club about roleplaying as a canon character, as I do like many canon characters and roleplaying and writing from their point of view. I also wished to organize a free contest last month. But I was too busy to do it and I did not know whether people would be interested.

MR: What advice could give to those students just starting Hogwarts?
NB: Enjoy your first years and do many new things that challenge you.

Thank you, Narcissa Black, for the lovely interview.
