Draco Malfoy was sitting in what was going to become the marital bedroom for him. Today was his wedding day to Astoria Greengrass and he was nervous. Yes, Draco Malfoy was nervous. This was a chance for a new beginning, to be a proper father to the child that he and Astoria would have to have. Of course, he didn't know about the blood curse that flowed through her. All Draco knew was that his mother and father had decided that Astoria was the best match for him and that was the end of the matter.

Draco looked out of the window in front of him to see the Malfoy Manor gardens had been transformed into a wedding venue and he sighed. This was supposed to be a new beginning for him, wasn't it? The day when he redeemed the Malfoy name from the damage his father had done over the two Wizarding Wars... at least that's what he hoped the marriage would do. The Malfoy name had been dragged through the mud and, once again, it was up to Draco to save the family name.

He saw it as a new beginning for him though and he was going to make the most of what he was being given. He was nervous about whether the marriage would work or not but he had to trust his parents at the same time. He sighed as he turned back to the parchment and he looked at everything his mother had written down. He didn't want to be in this position and yet here he was.

A knock on the door disturbed him from his thoughts. He sighed and permitted entry before looking up to see his mother walking in. She was the last person he was expecting to see and he looked at her before listening to what she was saying. He couldn't sigh either. The one person he didn't want to anger was his mother; it was the last thing he wanted to do. That would mean that she would be annoyed for the rest of the day so he remained silent and simply nodded as she spoke.

He stood up as his father appeared and told him that it was time for him to head outside. A soft sigh escaped his lips and he winced at his mother's tone of voice. An apology accepted... Draco got up and strode out of the room. It wasn't too much longer before Astoria Greengrass stood before him and his new beginning was starting.
