The Darkness Within

Another month means a new Death Eater of the Month. It is a very honoured position and there have been some changes as of late.

The Death Eater of the Month is a feature that can be found in the darkest corner of HEX; Knockturn Alley of course! The user who wins the prestigious title will be allowed to use the Death Eater Mask for an entire month, as well as receive a special profile graphic.

There have been a few Slytherin winners in the past, including one of our own. Last month's winner was, in fact, a guy you may have seen round and about; Richard Lestrange, a SOUP writer and the Head of House.

In the past, posting alone could get you this prize. Recently, however, there have been some changes. Not only will the announcement of the Death Eater of the Month award be moved to the 15th of the month, but the winner will also be drawn from a combined ticket list of both the main monthly contest and the Curious Commissions activity. So, be sure to get those entries in for a chance to win the award!

Prizes Galore

As if the Galleons, items, and House Points that can be won around the site weren't enough, Slytherin has gone one step further. Beginning in September, the staff introduced a Prize Booth.

For every event, contest and nomination members of this fine house take part in, they can win a certain amount of tickets just for entering or even as a prize. And the top prize? Nagini! It'll cost you 2,500 tickets. Have fun and get entering if you want to trade for the most well-known snake in the wizarding world.

Time for Quidditch

The Quidditch season is officially underway! With that in mind, Slytherin's first match is in November. We will face Gryffindor, which is always a thrilling game. Hufflepuff will get their taste of the formidable Snakes in February with April playing host to our last match against Ravenclaw.

The Slytherin team has some new faces this season, but that certainly doesn't make us pushovers. In fact, about half of the team even provide your monthly SOUP articles. So, whether you're a Quidditch fanatic or just want to support your team, head on over to the Quidditch Pitch where you will be able to follow our matches and even post in the Spectator Stands if you wish! Come and support your team as we try to honour the noble name that is Salazar Slytherin.

Fare thee well, my dear readers! Until next time.
