This month SOUP has decided to focus on the Bloody Baron, and so I offer you what I believe is a fair portrayal of who he was from an astrological point of view. You are free to disagree, of course, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
Little is known about who the Bloody Baron was before his death, other than the fact that he was in love with Rowena Ravenclaw's daughter, Helena, who would become the Ghost of Ravenclaw. Helena did not reciprocate the Baron's love, and he ended up killing her in what would probably be called a crime of passion nowadays. It is interesting that both he and Helena are House Ghosts at Hogwarts, as this further seals their fate.
Now, there are not many signs that would actually kill someone because they didn't feel the same way about them that they did. However, there is one that stands out in my mind. Scorpio does not like to be refused, and they are actually hurt very easily by another's rejection of them. This can lead them to become very vengeful, to the point where something like this could be the result. Keep in mind that not all Scorpios are like this, nearly all are not, but there is bad in every sign. Generally Scorpio is a very passionate and devoted sign who sometimes keeps their true self hidden from others for their own protection, but they would never even dream of going to this kind of means. Sadly, the Baron was an extreme who could not control his own temper and went for revenge, the result of which is never good.
Somehow, I still like to think that there might be some hope that Helena will finally forgive the Bloody Baron and the two will find happiness together, but I'm not holding my breath for that. How many centuries has it been, anyway? Still hope springs eternal, and it all depends on what her sign might be, anyway. To be honest, I haven't given that much thought. Perhaps I should!
If anyone has any astrology related theories on this, I would love to share thoughts with you. This is one of the most interesting couples I have come across in the HP world, whether it is just the tragedy or not.
