Dear Bloody Baron
- By Nikky

Dear Mr. Baron,
I'm having a spot of trouble in the love department, and thought maybe you could lend me some advice. You see, I've fallen madly in love with a... Gryffindor! Bizarre, I know. But I can't seem to stop thinking about them. However, if my Slytherin friends find out, I'm terrified of what they'd do.

Seeking your help,
Lovestruck Fool

To the Young in Love,
Fret not, for I have a tale to bestow unto you. You see, I, too, found love in someone I should not. And by listening to the will of others instead of what she wanted, I paid the ultimate price. You see my chains? They remain as constant penitence for the wrongdoings of that final act, and so I have a warning for you as well. Do not follow the words of who you think are your friends when they speak out against someone you hold dear, or else would prod you for loving someone not of our house. Instead, go directly to your friend, and speak the truth, so should they return your affection, you may continue on together regardless of the opinions of others. Oh! And do avoid bringing any blades when you see them next.

Do Not Be Like Me,
The Baron

Dear Bloody Baron,
I have a secret fear that I often do not speak of, lest a roommate over hear my screams of terror during the night. You see, in my five years of attending this school, I've come across only one thing to scare me so badly: Peeves. Yes, I said it, the poltergeist simply terrifies me. After a nasty stink bomb incident in my first year where I was the brunt of his prank, I have never been the same. A professor told me that he often listens to you, so I'm hoping you might get him to leave me alone?

Crossing My Fingers and Toes,
Afraid for My Life

Fear Not,
Peeves does have a habit of bullying on occasion, and seems to be a magnet to those who especially despise him. No matter, I can certainly go to him myself. Though, I request you join me at my side when I do. You see, it takes a firm hand to keep Peeves in his place, and in order to avoid any further disturbances from him, you'll want him to see you are not afraid, even if you are within. Bravery is always something we are known for, but to have the ambition to overcome one's fear, well, that is the ultimate power.

See You in the Astronomy Tower,
The Baron

Dear Bloodiest of Barons,
I consider myself a very loyal Slytherin, and as such, obsessed with the history of our house. It is rumored you attended the school close to its beginning, and were in these very halls during the time of the four founders. Is it true you walked among them? Do you think things are better off now, or then?

Anxiously Awaiting Your Reply,
Slytherin Til Death

Dear Loyal Friend,
I, too, adore our noble house, and it was without question I'd return to the school after my first Deathday. Rumors are true, and I did stroll the same staircases as those four famous witches and wizards. At the time, I found myself often falling into the same beliefs as our dear Salazar, and perhaps it all led me to where I am now. I will say that my hope continues to grow each and every year as I watch the Slytherin students progress both mentally and socially. There has never been a greater time for our house, and I hope future centuries continue to be filled with the open minded students I've come to love in this day and age.

With My Honour,
The Bloody Baron
