Legends Among Us, 2.0
- Kitten

Hello and welcome to our Legends Among Us 2.0 exhibit here in the SOUP Offices. We have decided to turn our outer offices into a makeshift gallery of sorts for your viewing pleasure! Each month we shall endeavor to bring you delightful works from your fellow snakes who have been honored with our monthly awards across our various subforums.

So without further ado I invite you to join me at this month's gallery opening! First up, we have our beloved Heir of Slytherin for the month of October 2023, lovelypsychopath!

Greetings, lovely snakes! The start of a new month means another Heir of Slytherin! This month's Heir is someone who is a true powerhouse when it comes not only to winning us house points but for encouraging others to greatness as well. This dedicated Snake has not only amassed a truly impressive amount of winning entries for contests all over HEX but has been doing so for years. But beyond her winning ways, she also participates in many of Slytherin's in-house activities. Even more, she is a strong and consistent presence for all those who are actively seeking to help us win the House Cup, and she does so in a wonderfully supporting and unselfconscious manner. By her words and her actions, she embodies all that it means to be the Heir of Slytherin. So, please join us in congratulating lovelypsychopath! Az, your hard work and dedication to Slytherin have not gone unnoticed, and we are very proud of all that you do for our wonderful house.

Next, we move on to our Snakelet of the Month for October, Nicolette117!

Hi everybody! My name is Nicolette. I am still pretty new to HEX, but I am loving it. I am a mom of a beautiful 2-year-old boy. He runs me ragged but I adore him! I am a full-time mom, a full-time employee, and a full-time student. (Also, a part-time Hogwarts student 😂) I am a huge nerd... seriously. 😎 I am a fanatic for Harry Potter, Star Trek, Disney, Zelda, and Game of Thrones. My joys are video games, books, writing, and playing with my son. Pretty sure that's everything. It's great to be here and I am so ready to get to know everybody! I am proud to be a Slytherin! My drawing is of Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. Of all the fun places in Hogsmeade, I always wanted to go here! Thanks again, Nicolette

Closely tied to our Snakelet of the Month is our newest award, Pythonidae of the Month also over in the Serpent's Nest! Our winner for this award for the month of October is vale_99!

Hello fellow Snakes! My name is Valentina but most of you will know me as Val or Vale. It's a pleasure to be Pythonidae of the Month of November. For me, November is all about the end of the autumn season and the preparation for a month full of Christmas celebrations. I imagine that I would be spending a lot of time in Hogsmeade this month. What's better than strolling around the picturesque alleys of Hogsmeade, taking in the last golden rays of the autumnal sun, looking from shop window to shop window, and taking in all of the sparkling colors of the items presented (and also maybe finding a lovely Christmas present for a friend or family member). As it starts getting dark rather quickly now, one could visit the Three Broomsticks and warm up with a delicious Butterbeer. A stroll back to Hogwarts Castle through the cozy lit-up alley of Hogsmeade rounds out the day. Who knows, maybe there's already snow outside. Happy November to all of you! <3

Our next shining snake comes to us as the winner of our Industrious Snake award for September, mint!

Hi, it's Mint here! I recently won the title of 'Industrious Snake' in the Slytherin Study Cafe, and I was asked to share something about myself. I decided that I could talk about my obsession with different kinds of puzzles. My favorites include sudoku and crosswords, they are abundant in my household because of the newspapers I have around every day. During summers, when I have plenty of free time, I buy magazines filled with nonograms, cryptograms, calcudoku... jigsaws require a bit more time so I save them for special occasions. This is an image from last Christmas holiday when I and my girlfriend were working on an HP-themed puzzle. I wanted to start from the green end, of course

I think I can speak for all of us in saying that we wholeheartedly thank each of these brave souls for sharing a bit of themselves with us! Artwork in every form is usually something quite personal to each of us. We here at SOUP absolutely send our deepest gratitude and love to each of these amazing people!

Join me next month as we take a deeper dive into our next award winners in the noble house of Slytherin! This is your resident feline Editor, signing off as it's time for a cat nap!
