Dear Draco,
I need advice. I've come into a bit of money by selling a few antiques I "found" lying around a school I go to. I'll be in Hogsmeade next weekend, so what should I buy? My favorite color is forest green if that matters.
- Definitely Didn't "Find" the Items At Hogwarts
Dear Finders Keepers,
Oh yes, I'm sure you "found" the items. I mean, I'm sure some of the things just jumped into your lap, didn't they? Well, maybe some might have, but I highly doubt it. Anyway, I won't put too much thought into your questionable habits and will just focus on your request. If you need help spending money, you've come to the right place. If Malfoys are well-versed in anything, it's spending and displaying our wealth, and why not flaunt it if you have it? Even at this moment, I can think of a few things you might want to buy in your favorite color, so let's stop wasting time, shall we, and make the most of those Galleons.
When you visit Hogsmeade, make your first stop at Gladrags. This time of year, the shop receives new weekly shipments of cloaks, gloves, and boots to prepare for the Autumn season. I recently ordered some Dragon-hide Boots in black through Owl Post, which look and feel really expensive. Since they are so expensive, though, and I'm not sure you could afford them, they also have other styles and colors of boots, some of which would even suit a Weasley. If boots aren't your thing, consider getting a custom-designed cloak. I'm sure they even have a nice forest green silk they could line a cloak with around your budget.
Okay, so if you're not after clothes and would instead prefer to flaunt your recently acquired wealth in what I'm assuming are rags, may I suggest you visit Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop? That's where I actually got this quill; however, I wouldn't recommend this quill unless you enjoy everyone asking advice from you at all hours of the day. I'm basically providing a free service and am still waiting to receive a return from people receiving my advice, Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour; I'm talking to you! But I'm digressing. Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop has the highest quality quills, some even with a lovely forest green feather. There's one quill I've been eyeing and should have gotten: a chrome silver base with an Augurey feather. It's exceptionally high quality, but I think you might just be able to afford it.
Now what? Clothes and quills aren't your thing, either? Aren't you picky for someone who goes around "finding" items at Hogwarts and selling them? Regardless, I have another suggestion for you despite your pickiness. Have you considered going to Dervish and Banges? They have literally any magical equipment that you could think of, even for someone as picky as you. I will suggest that you avoid getting a Sneakoscope, though. They come in various colors, even a forest green, but I'm confident it would just go off the entire time around you. Imagine all the looks you'd receive in class when you get caught with one going off in your bag. That would be so embarrassing for you but fun for everyone else, though. Hmm, maybe you should grab one in that case?
I have one last suggestion for you. You should consider just shopping at Zonko's Joke Shop. I believe that Zonko's might be more suited to your unique tastes. Although they may not have many forest green items, they have a wide range of prank items that you could purchase. One of my favorite items from there is the Dungbomb. It's a classic and might assist you in your, I'm sure, completely legal endeavours. Oh, wait, Zonko's actually does have a forest green item there! Frogspawn soap, there you go. You can wash your hands with some frogs; what's more forest green than that?
I'm getting bored now, so I'll leave you to your shopping spree. I'm sure someone else will be asking for advice any second now. It's a thankless job, you know, giving advice to everyone, but I can't think of anyone better suited for it than me. While you're at Hogsmeade, how about getting a Butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks in honour of me? Maybe you could ask the barkeep to dye it green or something? However, if you truly want to show your gratitude for my advice, I wouldn't say no to a matching pair of Dragon-Hide gloves!
