Ranting and Raving

Thankfulness. What am I thankful for?

Talk about a loaded question. First off, yes, I'm not Beagle, obviously. I'm a kitten after all. But I just had so much to say that I decided to conveniently borrow this article from her this month.

I am grateful for JK Rowling and her imagination. The Harry Potter series has opened up so many new avenues and adventures for people all around the world. HEXrpg is one of THE best examples of this. A ginormous community of humans, animals, androids, and various other creatures and beings alike. We each have our own unique identity and viewpoint and yet, somehow, we manage to coexist in such a beautiful way. We have all been brought together because of a wonderfully and lovingly created world outside of our own. I have made so many new friends thanks to this website, from just about every corner of the world. We may have our moments, from time to time, but for the most part, we all care about each other and wish each other well.

I am also grateful for animals, of all kinds. Very little can make me happier than a zoo, aquarium, or nature walk. Yes. I know all of the cons for places like zoos or aquariums, but I still love them damn it. xD Being outdoors with animals, watching them and interacting with them, it brings me peace and serenity. They don't argue with me or talk back for one. Their instincts are so much keener than any humans. They seem to know exactly what we need, sometimes before we ourselves even figure it out. My pets also help make the days where I am sitting at home alone a lot less lonely (as does HEX, so double win for me). They expect very little from me which helps my stress levels immensely.

I feel very blessed to be able to write things for fun every so often. Between SOUP articles, playing Quidditch, or entering contests, my creative meter gets exercised often. Sometimes the things that I create don't make a lot of sense, but people (for the most part...) allow it to happen regardless.

I am entirely grateful to anyone who has taken time out of their busy schedule and life to read any of the things I write. I know that this one has been overly sentimental and rambling, but it IS Ranting and Raving after all, right? Surely this cat-who-stole-this-article-from-a-beagle is allowed to be as such, just this once?

We here at SOUP would love to thank each and every one of you who reads any part of our issues. We do this type of work for your enjoyment and sometimes confusion. We could never say it enough, thank you.
