Creatures, Creatures, Creatures!

There are many creatures that are living
Around the world, just waiting to be found!
Let's page through Newt's book
And see which ones are waiting for us!

With beautiful green scales and a bright red plume,
The Basilisk slithers along in its search for food
Just be careful not to gaze into its yellow eyes
They have the XXXXX rating for a very good reason!

Dragon breeding was outlawed by the Warlocks' Convention of 1709
But that doesn't stop anyone from admiring the many breeds
From the Antipodean Opaleye to the Ukrainian Ironbelly
These majestic creatures show their power and beauty

With a penchant for shiny things and a pouch to hide them,
The Niffler often found a home with Curse-Breakers
Hunting for treasures buried deep underground
These gentle creatures are usually harmless

Thunderbirds can create some fearsome storms as they fly
With their three pairs of shimmering, cloud-like patterned wings
This North American avian also is highly sensitive to danger
So if you see one abruptly change course - Apparate away

Preferring a woman's touch as they get older
The Unicorn is a majestic equine of white and gold
They are possessors of potent magical properties
And you should treat these beautiful creatures with great respect

These are but a few wonderful creatures
That have captured both Muggle and Magical imagination
From X to XXXXX all weave a certain fascination
That turns the regular Witch or Wizard to a Magizoologist
