Welcome back to November's exciting SOUP issue, with a furry and scaly theme this month. With Newt Scamander's adventures now being viewed, we decided to bring attention to the Magical Beasts we might come across. Needless to say, it's been pandemonium in the SOUP Headquarters. Especially when one member, who shall remain nameless, tried to smuggle in a dragon hatchling! So, curl up with your favorite beast plushie and repeat after me: Dragon breeding was outlawed by the Warlocks' Convention of 1709.
Hey guys! It's Janelle and I'm bringing you all the details on the fantastic and beastly stories that you're about to peruse. And who better to start us off than with the Magizoologist of the hour, Newton Scamander, in this months Chatting With? And once again, in Adventures of Beagle, you can join our resident beagle Animagus as she's sporting some shiny new bling. Puzzling Things deals with the aftermath of bringing a dragon hatchling into the Common Room. Not that I would know how the dragon came to be in here in the first place...
Nikky, here, and I've got a reminder for all those about to flip through the pages ahead. You see, even though we're honoring an infamous curator of magical creatures galore, we want to take a second to reflect on the living beasts you're about to encounter. Though many may look or seem harmful, it does not mean we should let fear get the better of us. We here at SOUP won't be suggesting anyone go out and make friends with a Basilisk anytime soon, but having a safe appreciation of the often misunderstood beasts is what we'd like to encourage with this latest article. So, even if you have to do so at a distance, admire the extraordinary experiences of the upcoming creatures.
Because even monsters deserve to be loved, gather up your friends, hit play on this month's hairy playlist, and begin your journey now! Just don't forget your Dragon Fire Repelling Shield!
Until next time,
Nikky & Janelle
