Legends Among Us
- By Salazia

Welcome back my snakies, I'm so glad you returned. Today we have an adventure to go on. Someone who isn't from Hogwarts managed to come, via Floo Network, for a small visit. We have an American Legend with us. The lovely Miss Queenie Goldstein!

Sal- Thank you so much, Miss Goldstein. I'm sure you have a very busy schedule to tend to.
Q- It wasn't a problem at all my dear. I'm so happy to be here. I've heard much about Hogwarts from Newt.

Sal- Ah, Newt. He's a very extraordinary person. One we all are very grateful for all the work he has done.
Q- He puts his heart into everything magical creatures. I think Frank is by far is favorite, though he'll never admit he has a favorite.

Sal- What is your favorite magical creature Queenie?
Q- I don't believe I have a favorite. Though, I do belong to Pukwudgie House. So, I'd have to say a Pukwudgie.

Sal- Ilvermorny Houses are fascinating. The founder was a relative of one of our very own House founder. Would you mind telling us some about Pukwudgies?
Q- Oh, they are amazing creatures. Though, they are related to goblins. But, if you ever come across one, be careful. They arm themselves with poisonous arrows. In the wild at least. At Ilvermorny, they maintain and do security work.

Sal- Poisonous arrows? They sound frightful! Why keep them at the school then?
Q- Well, it all started because of one brave Pukwudgie, William, or that's what he was named by Isolt. I'm sure you've heard of her since you are a Slytherin. Her mother was Rionach Gaunt and they were descendants of Salazar. Well, he saved Isolt from Gormlaith. Gormlaith had tried to kill Isolt but William stepped in. Using a poison arrow he had, he killed her.

Sal- How did Isolt meet her savior? It doesn't sound like the whole story.
Q- Of course it's not. It's a wonderful story that's is very long. I'll just have to shorten it for you. Ten years before that, Isolt saved him from being eaten by a Hidebehind. Nasty creatures, classified as XXXX. Pukwudgies aren't high on the list of predators. After the attack she tried nursing him back to full health, which she was successful in. He followed her around saying he was indebted. Probably why he killed Gormlaith, to repay that debt.

Sal- William sounds like he cares a great deal for Isolt. A proud history for the Pukwudgie House.
Q- It's said William still resides at Ilvermorny. That he is the only Pukwudgie allowed to polish the statue of Isolt. He even places mayflowers there every year, on the anniversary of her death.

Sal- I hope it is him. If not, maybe a descendant of his.
Q- That is a lovely thought. I do hope you are right. Well now, I must be on my way. I've so much work with Tina and Newt to accomplish.

Sal- Thank you Queenie. I'm sure the readers will be thrilled we had a chance to interview today.

Miss Goldstein and the Pukwudgie named William sure are an interesting group. I myself don't know much about Pukwudgies. Demiguises happen to be my favorite magical creature. I hope we all learned something today.

From the world of magical creatures this is Salazia saying, "Treat them with respect and caring. Magical creatures are a wonder to behold."
Until next time my snakelings!
