I've seen a lot of things that are quite yummy, But I've never tasted a snack so chummy As a sweet bubble, a bright one too, Comes floating around to tantalize my view. I long to grab one, enjoy its bite, And let its sweet nectar tantalize me. For if it lands on my tongue, I'll forever think of it as the sweetest thing that's ever come!
Hi there friends, it's Katie_slytherin here, with a new addition of 'Chatting With . . . '! Memories of bubble-blowing competitions from childhood can come back with a few whiffs of bubble mixture. Bubbles bring people together and bring out smiles, conversations, and joy all around. As you are probably aware, this month's theme is all about BUBBLES!!! So sit back and hold onto your butts, hopefully, this interview doesn't blow you away!
Katie: Alright, my SOUPer friends, this month we have ACCIONOX joining us to talk about the whimsical world of bubbles. Let's start off with the biggest debate in the bubble society- do you like blowing bubbles or popping them more?
Nox: When I was a child, I loved popping bubbles. I could spend hours sitting there popping them. But now I have a child of my own, I love blowing them. Lu giggles so much when he sees the bubbles, and he loves popping them. His laughter truly lights up my life.
Katie: Aw, I love that so much. I'm sure you're creating life-lasting memories with your little one. Have you ever tried bubble art?
Nox: No, I haven't. I don't even know what it is. Is it fun? Is it messy? If the answer is yes to both of those questions, then it's probably my kind of thing.
Katie: One of my favourite bubble art activities is making greeting cards! You take some small paper cups, fill them with paint and soap (and a bit of water, depending on how thick the paint is) and then you use a star to blow bubbles, and you pop them with your card paper. You can make some really cool but elegant cards that way! Onto our next question. What is the biggest bubble you have ever seen?
Nox: The biggest bubble? Now, come on! Are you seriously expecting me to get out a tape measure or a ruler? But in all seriousness, I have no idea how to answer this question. Unless you could the Bubblehead Charm Cedric cast on himself in the Goblet of Fire?
Katie: Haha, well, not exactly. One time when I went to a science museum, there was a bubble exhibit, and they had huge bubble wands and a fun contraption where you could create a bubble around yourself! I wonder if they use some sort of top-secret bubble mic for that. Have you ever made your own bubble mix?
Nox: No. I have to be quite careful when it comes to bubbles. I have eczema, which can flare up at any moment, especially when I plunge my hands into unknown substances. I can't even use bubble bath!
Katie: Ah, I see. Bubble mix can get quite messy too. But you know what isn't messy? Creating poetry (well, at least not physically messy. . . usually). Would you do us the honour and write a bubble poem for us?
Nox: Bubbles, bubbles, where have you gone?
Bubbles, bubbles, where are you from?
Floating here, there, everywhere,
Surely you've got some time to spare.
To hear a kid laugh, to hear them shout,
Wouldn't you want to hang about?
To see their little face light up with glee,
Now that's a sight you've got to see.
There's nothing quite like popping a bubble,
So, come over here. Quick! At the double!
Your life will almost be at an end,
But on that faithful bubble, you can depend.
Katie: *sheds a tear* That was beautiful! Thank you so much for gracing us with your glorious poetry. Well, that's all of the questions I have for you today; thank you so much for agreeing to come and chat with me! That wraps up this month's of 'Chatting With. . . ' Let's give a warm shout-out to Nox for being our guest this month! Next time you have a moment, take the time to just sit back and admire bubbles. Notice the colors and patterns, and revel in the beauty of it all. I'm sure you won't regret it!
Until I reemerge from my cave again, this is goodbye from your favourite socktastically pureblooded Slytherin!
