Brilliantly Beautiful Bubbly Bubbles
- Pansy Parkinson

Eee! Bubbles. What a fabulous theme. I love it. Simply wonderful!

I have always loved bubbles. I remember the first birthday party I was invited to: it was a bubble party. One of my best friends was utterly obsessed. I was only three, but I loved every minute of it. It was just so fabulous and simple. I can't remember the finer details, but it was very enjoyable.

Obviously, as I grew up, I had to hide that part of me. My parents expected me to be more sophisticated than that, and there wasn't any room in my life for a bubble obsession. But I would secretly take bubble baths every couple of days. It was a lovely way to relax, especially if I was under stress. And let me tell you something; being a Parkinson is extremely stressful at times, particularly during my later Hogwarts years.

To my surprise, I was chosen as Slytherin Prefect in my fifth year. My obsession came back with vengeance. It was the most spectacular bathroom I have ever been in. The tub was massive, bigger than I'd ever seen before. And the bubbles. Oh, the bubbles. They were all kinds of colours; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. All the colours of the rainbow were there. I was amazed every time I went in there. To this day, I still can't believe they chose me.

Of course, there were some disadvantages. That miserable ghost, Moaning Myrtle, was it? She was always spying on the prefects, hoping to get a glimpse. It made me very uncomfortable, to say the least. It was worse when she popped up from the midst of the bubbles: that was the truly shocking part. Ugh! And it was so frustrating when she would always start complaining about things. It would completely ruin the atmosphere of my bubble bath. It's just so annoying, you know?

In the Prefects' bathroom at Hogwarts, there were so many taps, and all of them had different scented bubbles. I never knew there could be so many. It was amazing. Ooh, you know what I would love to do? I would love to invent some perfumed bubble bath. My friend from work does that as a hobby: maybe I should ask her how.

I have to say, living on your own has its perks. I can take bubble baths whenever I want, and there's no one there to judge me. I usually have at least two a day, to help relax me. Even when I'm super busy, I always carve out some me time.

Anyway, my bath's ready. So, I'll catch up with you all soon.

Love,
Pansy
