"Torquil Travers: You want an end to the ban on you traveling internationally. Why?
Newt Scamander: Because I'd like to travel internationally."
Have you ever had one of those days? Where the most obvious answer really IS the answer? Are you sick of people asking you the most absurd questions like dear Newt was? Several rants broke out during the last SOUP Staff meeting and some of them got rather interesting. Like there was this one about a Thestral and a Unicorn... let's just say it wasn't very polite. However, it did bring about our newest theme: [Forbidden] Forest Adventures! So come on over and join us for quite a ride!
As you strap on your walking boots and pack a picnic in your bag, ready for a trip to the Forest, you may want to head over to this month's Playlist to get you in the mood for an adventure. If that is not quite what you had in mind, why not pull up a chair and see what Nikita has in store for you in her Scintillating Spells column? Lastly, if you want to check out what our very creative writers came up with from their foray into the world of Forest inspired art, you can always take a look at this month's Art Critiques and Crafty Corner articles. You're sure to see something beautiful. We guarantee it! Wherever you end up, you're sure to find something to make you smile, so happy reading!
There's so much more to explore, whether you're in the Forest of Dean or the Forbidden Forest or somewhere in between. Adventures come in all sizes and shapes, as you will see in this issue. Not only is there an abundance of creatures, but tasty edibles and fascinating flora await you as well. Why, just walking innocently along an obvious path can have its unexpected thrills - and spills.
The latest issue of SOUP is waiting for you. So go on... clean up after your own adventure in the [Forbidden] Forest. Or, perhaps, you had more restraint than our writers did? Maybe you didn't wander into the dark and mysterious place. No matter, we wouldn't tell. Slytherins stick together after all except when our own skin is at sake. Don't forget to swing by the Common Room and let us know all about it. We want to hear from you!
Be sure to leave some feedback over in the Common Room SOUP thread once you've finished. Go ahead and click the first article now!
If you have any ideas about themes, articles, or anything at all just poke an editor... we won't bite hard and be sure to watch out for upcoming issues of SOUP!
