Legends Among Us, 2.0
- Kitten

Hello and welcome to our newest rendition of our Legends Among Us article here in the SOUP Offices. We have decided to turn out outer offices into a makeshift gallery of sorts for your viewing pleasure! Each month we shall endeavor to bring you delightful works from your fellow snakes who have been honored with our monthly awards across our various subforums.

So without further ado I invite you to join me in our very first gallery opening! First up, we have our beloved Heir of Slytherin for the month of February 2023, Rikke!

"This is an old contest entry, but I am to this day still so proud of it. I spent a good few hours trying to get leaves and rocks to look like a snake, and I personally think the marshmallow on a stick is the perfect detail on it. This is one of many examples of contest entries I've had over the years. It is one of my favorite things to do on HEX and I hope to do many more in the future!" - Rikke

Next we move on to our lovely Industrious Snake, Medusa Cascade!

Drabble:
There is something about the early morning that is hard to describe,
like the way that the world seems to collectively be rubbing its eyes.

The insects are buzzing and the birds are singing,
but we humans are sleeping and snoring, waiting for the alarm to start ringing.

And if we get up before everyone else, we see the sight,
of a silent and calm diffused morning light.

It paints the tips of tress a bright light green,
or maybe a golden orange, that remains to be seen.

The early morning risers enjoy the peace,
and the wildflowers blowing in the breeze.

Then they take a deep breath as the rest of the world starts to rise,
for soon the busyness sets in when everyone opens their eyes.

"This is a drabble that I did for a writing club drabble thing here on HEX that I really liked, so much so that I saved it in a separate document!" - Medusa Cascade

Join me as we now look upon the lovely artwork of our Community Hero, mint!

"This is a drawing I made for a hex contest last summer. The subject was summer doodles. I got inspired by all the things I like to do during the only warm month in the North. In addition to drawing I like to spend time outside: biking, paddling, gardening, bird watching, and eating of course." - mint

Our final exhibition comes from our wonderful Magical Muse, GoldenHand!

"Drawing has been my main hobby for as long as I can remember but I never really found my own style. Having non artistic friends who couldn't care less for creativity would laugh or cringe so I stopped showing my works altogether and started to feel insecure about my favourite hobby. Finally being amongst the artistic people didn't go so well either. But ever since I found digital art, I have felt like I'm rediscovering art for myself and no longer feel the need to keep it only for myself. Back then, this drawing would have stayed in a drawer but this time, I dare to say it's one of my personal favourites." -GoldenHand

I think I can speak for all of us in saying that we whole-heartedly thank each of these brave souls for sharing a bit of themselves with us! Artwork in every form is usually something quite personal to each of us. We here at SOUP absolutely send our deepest gratitude and love to each of these amazing people!

Join me next month as we take a deeper dive into our next award winners in the noble house of Slytherin! This is your resident feline Editor, signing off as it's time for a cat nap!
