Seaweed Surprise
- Little Dragon

Flying over Hogwarts, I hoped I would get inspiration for this month's issue. Looking around, I noticed Barry, the Giant squid waving at me from the Black Lake. The March issues subject itself appeared before me, bringing a smile to my lip. Gliding down, I happily land next to the lake. Our conversation went a little like this.

"Hiya Barry, how are you doing today?"
"Well, if it isn't the resident little dragon, is anything new going on today?"
"I'm trying to figure out a craft to do about the Black lake'"
"That's easy bath bombs; many DIYers come here and collect ingredients to make bath bombs, for a spa-type bath."

Listening to Barry's good advice, I decided to eat a little Gillyweed and take a dive and collect ingredients. So, as I dove to find seaweed, I noticed the slimy plant was stuck on my tail, which I was using as a propeller. Laughing, My eyes fell on a merchild playing Merball. so I asked to join and play a quick game. Merball is the same as basketball, just underwater. Swimming in the water, I decided there was a new world under the lake's surface I wanted to explore.

I spent all day under the water with my friend Barry. We had a blast, from a picnic by the lake to chasing Grindylows through the murky water below. Waving goodbye at the end of the day was difficult as I'd had so much fun. I flew back to my cave with the sun glinting off my tanzanite scales. Gliding into my cave, I shook the last drops of water off my body. Going to my craft corner, I started to make the following Black lake-inspired Bath Bombs:

Seaweed, Green Tea & Epsom Salt Bath Bomb

Ingredients

1 cup Bi Carb Soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup Cornstarch
1/4 cup Epsom Salt
2 tbsp Seaweed Powder
1 tbsp dried Green Tea
2 tbsp Castor Oil or Fractionated Coconut Oil
6 drops of Lemon essential oil
6 drops of Lemongrass essential oil
6 drops of Ginger essential oil
Soft towel
Glass jar with seal

Method

1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a glass bowl using a whisk.
2. Using a spoon or your hands, mix in the oil, including the essential oils, drop by drop. This must be done slowly or your mixture will start fizzing.
3. Once the oils are mixed in, you should have a crumbly mixture that resembles damp sand, which holds together when squeezed. Be careful not to add too much liquid to get this consistency.
4. Divide the mixture into equal portions. Take one portion into your hand and squeeze to clump the mixture together.
5. Carefully but firmly, start pressing and rolling into a ball. This will take a little patience, but slowly you'll start to see your ball form and hold together. Do the same with the remaining portions.
6. Place bath bombs on top of a soft towel and let them dry overnight. It's best to let them dry for at least another 24 hours after that to increase their fizzy power.
7. To store, keep them in your sealed, airtight jar.

I hope you have as much fun as I did making these. Please enjoy your spa bath. This little dragon is going to enjoy one myself.
