SOUP flibbergibbets
By Cadere_ragazza

I feel like it's been such a while since much has gone on in the Slytherin house! It is the slow months, February and March, after all.

First off, the big good news that happened this past month was that the Slytherin Quidditch team won the match against Ravenclaw! This was fabulous, especially since I had to sit out. I was surprised the team made it without me, to be quite honest. I was a bit ticked off when Meiko took over for me. I'm surprised she could get her face away from a mirror for ten minutes in order to play the damn game in my place.

Either way, it's whatever. I had a bag of Bertie Botts while watching everyone else kick some bird brain. SOUP was hiring this past month and we had a few new writers added. I hope they'll do their job, and we all hope they'll do good at it. This is a decent publication and not a joke, we do not need joke writers. I did happen to get a glance at some of the articles and they are looking pretty lovely to me.

I know we have a new horoscope journalist, Brandon, and I suppose he's good. In all honesty, I think he's getting Trelawney to write up all of his predictions. They seem a bit too professional to be written by a student at Hogwarts--however, who says Trelawney is professional. She's a hot mess if I ever seen one.

And then we have Len and Nicole. They're our new freelancers. They should be good. If only they wrote some articles about their lives outside of classes they might be a bit interesting...well, maybe. I know Len's pretty quiet outside of class, and spends a lot of her time taking artsy photographs. Too bad they're not moving photographs. Those cameras are pricey and I know not many people can afford those. However, if she could take moving photos, it would be nice to have for the SOUP.

Nicole is the one who hangs out at all the Wrock shows outside of class. Ugh, it would be nice if we could get som Wrock columns. I'd totally read them. I wreckon she'd be good, if only she didn't get a little crazy on her butterbeer and firewhiskey, if you know what I mean. She's good at sneaking around back to the dormitory's at night drunk after Wrock shows. It's actually kind of funny.

Lulu and Tyler should keep things interesting, I hope. They're both so quiet in the common room, I bet they just have ideas on top of ideas on top of ideas bottled up in their minds. Good news ideas, I hope. I suppose we're just going to have to see what is going to happen with our new SOUP writers. I know I'm pretty pessimistic with what I know, but I only do it for the common good of the publication!

Enjoy this month's issue, and don't forget to owl me with any juicy gossip you'd like to see in the SOUP next issue!
