A Fond farewell and new welcome
By vamp_shadow_werewolf
Our lives are a mixture of habits & behaviors, or at least that's what I understood when I read the William Glasser theory. Muggle psychology seems to be interesting at times! We've gotten well used to some people & some things around us that sometimes when he lose touch with them, it takes a long while to believe it. We only know the value of something when we've lost it.
Why am I writing an article with such theme? Well I am going to bring up a head start. As our new editor-in-chief explained, there has been a major change of habit in SOUP within the past month.
Our former editor-in-chief, Jason (GSP827), left SOUP to us. My whole objective of writing this article, whether he reads it or not, is to show my gratitude towards him & his efforts. SOUP was the only place in which I found comfort when it came to Slytherin. Most of you may not even know me, or my name. I don't lurk in the CR & I am not the most social butterfly in the world.
However, SOUP has always had a comfortable aura coming with it. You can easily give your opinions & talk out. Slythies always write to Pansy for advice & guest articles are always welcome. (I sometimes scout to snatch a few guest articles out of you guys)
The atmosphere, the fabulous designs, monthly issues & every effort in this magazine is happening because our ambition. Us, as a whole house, as a group of writers & on top, as Jason, who was the fabulous editor-in-chief & who led this passion & unity towards the objective.
What he wanted to represent, was perhaps the feelings of gratitude & unity between us & his efforts were evident when it came to house pride or earning house points. I could sense his responsibility as if SOUP was like an online duty that he had to do. Perchance, saying that SOUP was like his little son, Nick, is maybe exaggerating, but what I am certain of, is that he loved SOUP greatly & still loves with. Everywhere in the world, Love comes with responsibility & respect.
I am super glad to have been able to work with him during this time & now I do miss seeing his name in green under the forums. When it comes to changing, one must remember that the best kind of change is change for the better. I hope his new house & his new responsibilities are treating him well. His presence in SOUP is missed greatly, just like Mary (Sapphire Smoke). I sincerely hope wherever they are, even if the objective is to comfort heartbroken vampires in Romania, may happiness (& evilness) be bestowed upon them.
As of now, once again the office has come back to life & we are working full time to keep you waiting for our articles & issues every month eagerly. Our HoH , Alisha is in charge & I must admit she's going for a great head start. We have new prodigies abroad (in both writing & graphics). Be prepared for all the amazing possibilities & make sure to party with our new issue, after all Mardi Gras is ahead!
