I sit in the libraries of Gondor and Rohan,
Seeing all the history.
It makes me think back to the First Age,
Which feels pretty ancient to me.

I think about how the world back in those days,
When Morgorth was the sworn enemy.
The battles that took place must have been so fierce.
How I wish I could have been alive in the First Age

There is history everywhere and books and scrolls are just the start.
I heard about the First Age and read them too.
It was thousands of years ago, of course,
Which really does feel ancient.

There is the tale of Beren and Luthien,
Feanor and the Silmarils as well.
Morgorth and Sauron create chaos
Along with completing very good deeds as well.

I think back to the First Age
And everything that happened.
There are few alive from that Age now,
Save Elrond and Galadriel, Celeborn, and Cirdan too.

The Second Age feels like it was thousands of years ago.
But that's because it has been.
I read everything that happened,
And it's hard to believe that it has.

Now, I say the First and Second Ages are ancient
Because they really feel like they are.
The world of Arda goes back even further though,
But I do not know anything about them.

I love to read the scrolls and books,
Learning about all the history.
Of Rohan, Gondor, Arnor too
It's such a history and I'm proud to know about it.
