Letter from the Editors
- a Dragon, a Feline, & a Wolf

Do you always fall asleep in Professor Binns' History of Magic class? No? Some of us sure do. We hope that June's Issue of SOUP won't have the same effect! The theme for this newest iteration is Ancient Civilisations, after all! So come join your beloved SOUP Writers as they explore the many different civilisations that encompass the rich history of our planet. From an ancient site in Belize to an old Turkish spell to help you find out what dangers lie ahead, there's a bit of something for everyone! What's your favorite ancient civilisation? Do you have any fun facts for us?

Go on - take a closer look.

To start off your time travelling, why not check out what's happening in Guatemala in A New Civilisation? Too far away, you say? Maybe you would feel more comfortable just a little closer to home. Why not explore ancient Egypt in Art and History of Egypt? If you'd rather your exploration had a theme, then perhaps Curious Curses will be more up your alley. You can also get to know some of our fellow Snakes and their takes on antiquities in both Ancient Talking and Legends Among Us 2.0. Finally, don't hesitate to whip up an old-fashioned treat with Turkish Temptations. It's sure to satisfy your sweet tooth while you finish reading the rest of the articles! And as always, don't forget to listen to the Playlist - there are some real surprises in there for you.

You know what's worse than mind-numbing History of Magic lesson? Sand! That's what. It's hardly surprising that both Wolf and Nikita were cursing every grain that tramped its way through SOUP offices this month. The pesky grit has a way of getting into places you had forgotten you had, and by the time the writers were finished bringing their articles to life in the most creative of ways, it was everywhere! No thanks to the dubious dioramas created by Katie and little dragon. So while the Editors crack the proverbial whip at the mischievous office peasants writers, why don't you drop by the Common Room and tell us all about your favourite historical tales?

Be sure to leave some feedback over in the Common Room SOUP thread once you've finished for a participation Jewel! Go ahead and click the first article now!

Keep your eyes peeled for the next issue of SOUP, where you will discover if the resident Wolf and Feline managed to get all the dust out of their pretty fur and whether Dragon managed to seize back all the stolen artefacts that our writers may or may not have "borrowed" from the local museum!
