Greetings dear readers! I bet you are all dying to know what we have in store for you this month, aren't you? Well, the wait is over and you can dust off your pennants because, for this issue, we are off into the exciting world of Wizarding Sports and Games. This is a big subject and our writers were thrilled to be able to show off what they know. Everything has been discussed from Quidditch to Owl Racing, and our offices have become cluttered with Exploding Snap packs and Gobstones boxes. It sure has been fun. So whether you love to show off your sporting prowess or watch from afar, there is bound to be something in this issue to make you cheer!
Ready.....set.....GO! First off in this magical issue, there's something to get your heart racing. It's a tricky hurdle to clear in Erin's Puzzling Things task this month. Next, is a leap into the wonderful world of Quidditch in the Hobbits' Book Club. There is bound to be a new trick to learn there. Your final slide should be into Bard's Alumni Adventures where she is letting us have a sneak peek into the mind of our very own Marcus Flint! But if that is all a bit too much for you, it might be wise to curl up and let Tabitha show you a nifty spell to mend all your sporting injuries in Scinitillating Spells. You never know when you might need it.
As people who can be rather whimsical and change their minds at the drop of a Knut, we think that more research should be done on this topic... despite the issue being complete. *cough* Oooh! We could try out some hopscotch like the young Ms Barebone (Modesty, not nasty, evil Barebones). Or how about our version of Muggle jousting, Shuntbumps? Who doesn't wanna try to knock someone off their broom?
Even Lord Voldemort himself was familiar with the game of Hide and Seek, even if he did mock Mr. Potter about it. If you don't mind, we're gonna go and plot out more 'research' for our beloved victims writers to do.
So why not head on over and check out our newest edition of SOUP where you can come and cheer on your favourite writers and show a little sporting spirit. Whether you are the first one in the stands with your banners during Quidditch season or the one who is quite content with a Wizard Chessboard and a good friend, we want to hear all about your sporting adventures! Don't forget to swing by the Common Room and let us know. We want to hear from you!
