Ranting and Raving
- By: snakesnitch43

Lockdown, the bane of some people's existence. Sure, it might be appealing to rant about being trapped at home fighting with family all the time. Sure, it might be nice to rant about how you desperately need a haircut. Sure, it would be easy to rant about, what the hell day is it of this confinement because I can't remember ...

But honestly, none of that feels appropriate this time. We may all be miserable, but we are doing it to protect our family and friends who have immune issues and wouldn't be able to fight off the virus.

We stay at home to help those on the front lines; the police, the doctors, the nurses, the EMTs, and everyone else. I am sure we all know someone who is doing their absolute best to serve their community. How they can serve so we can better fight this illness, and so those who do get sick and can't fight it on their own have the chance of surviving with the care of these professionals.

It would be so easy to rant and rave about how miserable we are stuck at home, missing being able to socialize with friends, missing holidays with extended family, and it is perfectly OK to be upset about it. But these activities will come again. Right now, it's important to stay home. Ranting about it won't make it any easier. All it will do is make people believe you don't appreciate those on the front lines.

So instead of ranting this issue, lets take a moment to thank those on the front lines for doing what they can in these times. It's OK to do both, be sad about being stuck home and appreciate them. There is no doubt they definitely deserve the appreciation!

Stay tuned for a real rant next issue.
