Come one, come all,
It's Spring not Fall.
The birds...

No, no, no. That's not right! Here I am trying to create a beautiful poem when I'm meant to be giving you the lowdown on what's happening around the site. So, with a great big hello to all you lovely readers, let's begin...

Quidditch Tryout Time

Are you an avid role-player? Are you competitive? Do you like to show your House pride? Are you a great team member?

If the answer to all those questions is a big fat yes, then Quidditch could be for you. Perhaps you read the matches last season and thought to yourself, I could do this. Maybe you just want to get involved in something different and challenging. Or you might just want to have fun while representing your House. Quidditch is about all of those things!

If you are interested in applying, then head over to this thread. After all, what have you got to lose? You will be amazed what you can do if you put your mind to it!

Congratulations Slytherin Staff!

That's it! The new Slytherin staff have been chosen. You've had your say, doesn't it feel good? At least our elections went smoother than Brexit!

And now. The winners are...

Just kidding boys and girls! I will let you find that information out yourselves. But keep your eyes peeled; next edition I plan to do some digging and find out what it is that makes our new staff tick.

Once again, a big congratulations to all the new staff. I am sure you will bring great things to this noble House!

School's Out for Summer!!

Another year - gone! That's it. The end. Finito! Where are the fireworks?

I mean, this year has just been crazy busy, right? It seemed like the lessons were out for five minutes before the next lot arrived! While some were signing up to every class possible and completing their homework the day it was released (guilty as charged), others were enjoying the exciting prospect of competing for all those extra House Points that are just lying around the site; after you've completed some contests of course (you don't get anything for nothing these days).

Summer brings graduation for some of us. This is the time to start making plans for the future. Whether you're going off into the big wide world of work or continuing your studies, it's important to take some time to just enjoy life before embarking on the next chapter in your journey. Perhaps you could make some plans with friends or catch up with family. Whatever you choose to do, seize the day!

It may be the end of the school year, but nothing stops the HEX staff once they get their motors running. With exciting new things happening all the time, there's sure to be something for everyone. So, get ready to slither into those summer activities!

I'm [insert suitable phrase] and Proud!

We may come from all over the world and speak different languages, but we are so much more than that. Be proud of who you are and, more importantly, embrace it.

Since 2014, HEX staff have brought the annual Pride celebrations directly into YOUR homes. With REs, contests and more, it has been a time to celebrate what makes you you. A love of Harry Potter brought us together, but it's almost time to explore what it is that makes us so unique.

When Pride celebrations first began, HEXians could find house beads and the Pride coin 2014 by lurking and chatting in Dumbledore's Office. The following year brought fortune cookies, the I Love You Charm and Pride Beads. In the last few years we have seen feather boas, pride bears, charms and pouches. The lucky ones among us will remember rares such as Luna's Friend Mural and last year's beautiful Rainbow Rose.

The biggest question of all is: will this tradition continue into a fifth year? If so, we are surely in for a spectacular spectacle if the Easter event is anything to go by. So, you sneaky Snakes; it's time to go forth and show the world (both virtual and real) how proud you are! I hope to see you all at the Pride parade.

Fair thee well, my dear readers! Until next time.
