Superheroes Are Public Nuisances!
- By Ragna

Now, I do know that these Muggle superheroes aren’t real. I mean, whoever heard of a Muggle flying in a tin can or using a bow and arrow today? But, I have a bone to pick with these so-called superheroes! I know I run the risk of sounding like The Daily Bugle’s J. Jonah Jameson, but I can’t help it over this. These so-called superheroes are a public nuisance!

Don’t get me wrong, they have the best intentions and are remarkable creations! My problem with them is how they draw you in to their story and then destroy your heart! I don’t think I have cried as much over make believe characters since reading the ending of Return of the King! At least that crying was in the privacy of my own home! Honestly, making us cry in public! The sheer nerve of some Muggles!

One of the worst offenders for this, is Sergeant James “Bucky” Barnes. He first pulls at the tears during his falling off the train. It's made worse seeing the extreme distress on Steve Rogers face as he watches his best friend fall! And then it gets horrible! Seeing him in the role of the Winter Soldier? It doesn’t even ease my mind that he was brainwashed by HYDRA (who inexplicably use an octopus as their symbol - Muggles) to make him their Asset! That was what started the tears and just seeing him every time as the Winter Soldier just added to them. And don’t even get me started on him in either “Civil War” or “Infinity War”!

Another one that constantly causes me to cry over them is Loki. Surprising? Maybe, maybe not. But the way he’s treated by the other Asgardians gets the waterfall going. Some of us know what it’s like to be considered different, just ask any Muggle-born that doesn’t have a very good support system in their Muggle family. And then, there are the ones among us who are more inclined to the Dark Arts than others. My point is, we’ve all been Loki at one point. And because of that, seeing him mistreated by his family always brings tears to my eyes. And on top of all that, there are his death scenes! Merlin, someone wants me to be in a perpetual crying state!

And these are only two examples! From learning that Bruce Banner attempted suicide, to T’Challa’s father dying, to the entire “Infinity War” story - there are too many tearjerkers! I should not have this many emotions over made-up characters! This is completely unacceptable! These Muggles have made their superheroes public nuisances! Honestly!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and find a Calming Drought so I don’t burst into tears. Again!
