Spirit Animals: Bees and Scorpions

By Desiree Snow

Hello readers! Welcome to my second article on this exciting series about Spirit Animals. I have to admit, I was a bit challenged with this month's theme. My editor suggested that I write about "Spirit Candies", but I really couldn't see how that would turn out. What would candies do as spirits?

Now that I think about it, the angle would be very unique. It would definitely require a very in-depth research. I'll have to save that idea for another issue.

For this article, we'll be talking about Bees and Scorpions as spirit animals. If you're not sure what spirit animals are, you might want to read my article in the previous issue.

BEES Let's start with Bees. If you feel like you are a very industrious person with a strong sense of purpose, then chances are, your spirit animal is a bee. Now, don't feel like that makes you insignificant just because of its size. Bees are an integral part of the ecosystem. They are one of the most hardworking creatures on Earth.

If you've ever encountered bees in your dreams or if you've often found yourself near one, it is a sign that you're either working in a job that you really like or a vocation that you feel passionate about.

Or it could also mean that there is something going on in your communication network. Bees have a very complex mode of communicating with each other, which is why, if you ever see a bee, then there might be something in your social network that you should look into.

Lastly, one of the most important roles that bees play in the ecosystem is their ability to pollinate. Obviously, I'm not expecting you to go out and start pollinating stuff. That's just weird. What I'm trying to get at here is that there might be a thought or idea that you are passing around which really affects the people around you.

SCORPIONS This spirit animal is commonly associated with negativity due to its characteristics. But the truth of the matter is that scorpions are simply just a more complex type of spirit animal. Picture this, people who have scorpions as their spirit animal are usually the silent and brooding type. Others would quickly assume that they are boring, but should they try to really get to know them better, they would see a person who is full of passion and is always ready to defend those around him.

If you've ever encountered a scorpion, be it in dreams or during the times when you're awake, then it might be a sign that you'll be going through a brief period that is filled with very strong and intense emotions which is then followed by a long series of days of isolation.

Revel in both periods in order to truly reflect on the purpose of why it happened in your life.

If you're still unsure of why a Scoprion has decided to visit you, try asking yourself the following questions: What needs protecting in my life? Am I being overprotective? Am I being defensive? Why?

If these still don't make sense. One other aspect of life associated with Scorpions is death, due to their venom. This doesn't necessarily mean that it's the end for you. It might just mean that a chapter of your life is about to end and a new one is about to begin.

I'd love to talk more about these two very different Spirit Animals. If you'd like to know more about the other spirit animals, stay tuned for the next issue.
