Hello fellow Slytherins!
Summer is right around the corner! Can you believe it? I kinda can't. It's very amazing how fast time flies. I'd swear it was the elusive Snitch if I didn't know better. And maybe I don't, who knows?
... Clearly, not me.
Anyway, summer is perhaps one of the best times to enjoy sweets as you can get them anywhere from your local grocery store to an amusement park. For this month, however, I will offer everyone the ability to make a delicious treat right in your own home. So what am I referring to?
Without further ado, I present to you all ...
Creamy Peanut Butter Fudge!
If you're a fan of both fudge and peanut butter, this will no doubt be heaven for you. Below are the ingredients and instructions you'll need to create this creamy dessert.
Ingredients:
-4 cups of white sugar
-1 cup of light brown sugar
-1/2 cup of butter
-1 (12 fluid ounce) can of evaporated milk
-1 (7 ounce) jar of marshmallow creme
-1 (16 ounce) jar of peanut butter
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Cooking Utensils:
-You will need several unused tea and tablespoons
-You will need a baking dish
-You will need access to an oven
-You will need a saucepan
-You might need an apron (for yourself, of course. This is optional but recommended)
Directions:
1. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in marshmallow creme until well incorporated and melted. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth; spread in prepared pan. Let cool before cutting into squares.
Cook: 10 minutes
Ready In: 50 minutes
