The Saga of Darren Shan

By Shadow

I wonder if any of you believe that there may be another sort of magical world other than ours. I mean, I'm sure most Muggles never believe that there is a Wizarding world out there, so why would it be so weird for us magical people to believe in another world full of magnificent possibilities? Imagine a world full of vampires and bloodsuckers who live within certain rules until those rules are broken and cause the end of the world... Fascinating, isn't it?

Most of you dear Slythies know that I am not a fan of Twilight; sparkling vampires aren't my thing. Nevertheless, I am obsessed with the creatures of the night. They are indeed amazing individuals, as long as they don't sparkle... Yeah.

If you are on the same boat and tired of mushy romances with sparkling vampires, it's time to open the Saga of Darren Shan. This thrilling saga is about Darren, a teenager completely ordinary in the Muggle world, who falls across a circus trip with his best friend Steven that changes his life. They meet up with a vampire called Mr. Larten Crepsley who has a really poisonous spider called Madam Octa. From there, Darren has to choose between his best friend's life and his own future.

This exhilarating saga takes you from a normal city life to the most exciting corners of a vampire community, and just like all the fictions we know, Darren has to go through many exciting and yet fatal adventures that lead him to save the world.

I must admit, this story has the most perfect ending ever with a beautiful twist to it. I am definitely not gonna spoil it by telling you about how Darren chooses to face his virtue and destiny. I am going to go as far as telling you that he has to make a decision that most other heroes had to make at some point. Of course these decisions don't come easy!

Get the book, pin yourself to your seat (or the Squashy Purple Sleeping Bags) and get ready to be by Darren's side to the end. It's also a good break now that the end of the term is coming, time to let go of those textbooks...

Love,

Shadow
