Draco Malfoy sighed as he sat in his son's room. Astoria's death shook him hard, and at one point, Draco thought he'd lost his son as well. It was the one time that he and Potter had been united in their ambitions.

Scorpius, along with Albus Potter, found themselves a dodgy time turner and kept going back in time to change events. He wondered what would happen if they'd created and fixed a new timeline. He probably wouldn't have had Astoria or even his son. Some events made him shudder, and as he looked at a photo of his wife and son, wondering what the future could hold. Luckily, some events weren't fixed, but Draco couldn't help his wonder about different moments in the future.

His major worry was Voldemort surviving, as his eyes peered down at the faded Dark Mark on his arm. He never wanted it and wondered if there was a way to get rid of it, usually hiding it from view. It was a dark time of his life, a time that he knew could alter his reality had things gone differently.

The thought that his aunt gave birth to the Dark Lord's heir, and then the heir managed to manipulate his son so easily, was not something that he wanted to think about. He knew that life would be very different were the events changed. Therefore, he focused on the positives of the situation. He decided to have a word with Minister Granger-Weasley, in order to make sure this never happened again.

The world would have certainly been darker and more dangerous had Delphini's plan worked, resulting in these moments stuck as a reality. He knew that this way was better, but a darker side of his mind flashed every now and again to those events, afraid of the repercussions.

Once again, he shuddered and pushed the thoughts from his mind and looked back out of the window of his son's room. He would be having a meeting with Potter soon, and he wondered whether to ask the wizard how he felt about what could have transpired. He did wonder if Potter ever thought anything about it, considering his best friend was a Muggleborn. He suspected that he did, but then again, he could have been surprised at the answer.

All Draco knew was that things, events, and peoples' lives could have been very different if the time turner wasn't faulty like it was... but, then again, he and the people he loved would be stuck, and Draco never wanted to think about that.
