News and Noteworthy Events
By Lu and Tyler
Hello kids and welcome to another edition of News and Noteworthy: your one stop shop article for everything hip and happenin' in the HEX world. On today's segment we're going all out and bringing up only the news to please you all. You're welcome.
First up for today's discussion is the new HEX. Users upon users stormed HEX during the Magical Things campaign only to find their entire world flipped, turned upside down. Now, not only did HEX go under the knife and get a total facelift, but we were also presented with thousands upon thousands of Mysterious Owls fluttering all over the castle. I'm sure it was absolutely hellacious to clean up after the mess the owls left behind. Despite the assault on the server with all these owls and users springing back up to see what the hell was going on, and found themselves faced with several subforum events to peruse and perhaps even become rich from. We wish all users luck in contests and are in love with the new HEX!
Along with the new HEX we have the new daily money system. It comes with these two nifty features that allow you to multiply your daily money by up to a number chosen by the almighty trunks! Accompanying this new addition, we now have the chance to collect daily money twice in one day! You just have to be active. So go forth and frolick around!
Next up on the dish is HNTGD. Now, if you're like me, you are the acronym queen. I acronym everything to an annoying degree. My friends hate me because I don't spell anything anymore. Regardless of all this, I suppose I'll de-shorthand it for you. HEX's Next Top Graphic Designer is a thrilling contest that is currently pitting Photoshop extraordinaires against each other in the ultimate contest to find the one true graphic god. We've had many great Slytherin representatives in this and with the final three left, SOUP is pulling for my little bird and Harry_fun to both win. It shall be a tie. (We'll get double House Points that way, okay, don't question it.)
Now, fresh on everyone's minds is the once thought to be fabled InterHouse Competition (known to me, and many others, as IHC. I love you, acronyms.). We are just entering our fourth InterHouse competition, and we have been paired up with our rivals turned allies, Gryffindor, once again! Gobstones is in full swing with Matthew and Tristan hot on each other's heels. Who will win? The anticipation is killing us, too! (Not really, we're immortal, surprise!)
Now, for all you mugglefolk, I've also gleaned a bit of interesting news. Our favorite author has recently released another book. Rowling has released a critically acclaimed mystery novel under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, which makes me want to actually read crime novels. You go, girl
We love you always (at least as long as we're your favorite columnists),
