Letter from the Editors
- A dragon, a feline, & a wolf

WHY DO YOU HATE US?!? I DON'T LIKE THIS THEME! IT'S SO CLICHE! DO WE HAVE TO? CAN'T WE EVER HAVE A COOL THEME?

Those were just a few of the things heard throughout the SOUP Offices this past month. Ironically, they didn't all come from outside the Editors' office. In fact, that last one came from one of the editors themselves. Odd. Your overly ambitious lovely editors are delighted to bring you this month's issue of SOUP with the theme Wizarding Resolutions (About the Muggle World)! We wanted our writers to branch out a bit and think of those around us in the wider world. Come join us as we find out whether or not any of our writers decided to actually stick to the theme!

To launch into the New Year with a bang, our first stop is going to be the SOUP Playlist. Our favourite tracks are bound to get you in the mood for a bit of positivity and inspirational thinking. Next up, we suggest you head over to Momma Fox's and see what's in this month's Recipe Box. After all, it's hard to follow those resolutions on an empty stomach, isn't it? If you still aren't ready to get started on those goals, you can always peruse the offerings in the Book Club. Ellieanarose certainly picked a classic for us to enjoy this month. And finally, our last suggestion is that you round off your reading of this issue with a fun puzzle, courtesy of our very own Puzzling Dragon. You can find her challenge over in Puzzling Things. So make sure you take a look! This issue has so much to offer, so make sure you don't lose sight of your goal to read it all!

So, whether your resolution is to be more well-read, more aware of Muggle history, more conversant with Muggle-style practices, or just to indulge in a good ear-worm, you can't go wrong with this month's edition of SOUP! Unfortunately, as is almost always the case, at least one of the Editors has already broken all their resolutions for the month, let alone the year. Not naming names, mind, but there might have been marshmallows involved. However, this has just made the entire Editor team more motivated to get each other on track. In what way? Well, that remains to be seen.

Be sure to leave some feedback over in the Common Room SOUP thread once you've finished for a participation Jewel! Go ahead and click the first article now!
