The Resolution Solution
by picklebuddy7
I've never been one for New Year's resolutions. In fact, I don't think I've ever kept a single one I've made! I cant' even remember my resolutions, isn't that sad? This year I'll probably make the resolution to be healthier and actually use the new yoga mat I got for Christmas, but who says I'll keep it? I could cut down on carbs (as my doctor recommends), but here I am, writing this and eating a baked potato for lunch. (Talk about knocking out two resolutions in one hour.)
I'm just not good at resolutions. You would think that having an entire year to fulfill them would make it easier, but it doesn't help me at all! I am a procrastinator by nature (or perhaps it's merely a force of habit), AND I have a horrible memory. I'll forget about these resolutions until, say, November and then it'll be too late to begin! Might as well aim for the next year, right? WRONG!
It's so simple! I can't believe I never thought of it before! The answer to solving the crisis of me never completing my New Year's goals is just this - don't make them! Forget improving on time management skills or buckling down on your self-discipline. Just don't make any resolutions and you won't have to fail or break them! Isn't it lovely? I feel so much less stressed this way! And maybe, just maybe, this year I'll get something done without feeling obligated. I can do it of my own accord without an Unbreakable-Resolution!
Isn't this a great way to start off the year?
