Hello fellow Slytherins!
Most of us probably have a significant other or lover in some form or fashion. Even if you don't, there's always that one person you really admire in a different way. Perhaps a family member or relative? With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I'm going to show you all how to make a dessert. It's one of my favorites -- but there's a twist to it.
Today, you're going to learn how to make cheesecake. But not just any type. Oh no. Without further ado, I'm going to show you all how to make Tiramisu Cheesecake.
Ingredients:
- 1 (12 ounce) package of ladyfingers
- 4 tablespoons of melted butter
- 4 tablespoons of coffee flavored liqueur
- 3 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) container of mascarpone cheese
-1 cup of white sugar
- 2 eggs
-4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
-1 (1 ounce) square of semisweet chocolate
Cooking Utensils:
- You will need access to an oven
- You will need a bowl
- You will need a fork
- You will need a knife
- You will need a blender
-You will need a pan
- You will need several unused tablespoons
- You might need an apron (for yourself, of course. This is optional but recommended)
Directions:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place a pan of water on the bottom of oven.
-Crush the package of ladyfingers to fine crumbs. Mix the melted butter into the crumbs. Moisten with 2 tablespoons of the coffee liqueur. Press into an 8- or 9-inch springform pan.
-In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mascarpone, and sugar until very smooth. Add 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur, and mix. Add the eggs and the flour; mix SLOWLY until just smooth. The consistency of the mascarpone can vary. If the cheesecake batter is too thick, add a little cream. Do not overmix at this point. Pour batter into crust.
-Place pan on middle rack of oven. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until just set. Open oven door, and turn off the heat. Leave cake to cool in oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven, and let it finish cooling. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight. Right before serving, grate the semi-sweet chocolate overtop.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour
Ready In: 5 hours
Magic could be used, mainly to cut down the time needed to wait if you so desire. But like most things, this will be worth the wait. That being said, I personally recommend not using magic. However, each to their own, of course. So if you're in a rush or absolutely must have it ready sooner, you can probably use a Cooling Charm or some other spell that reduces how many hours you need to wait for this to be ready.
And there you have it, the recipe for Tiramisu Cheesecake. I hope you all enjoyed it. I know I did. In fact, I'm kinda hungry.
I'm gonna go sneak away and grab something maybe my own tiramisu cheesecake .
Until next time,
