Who knew there would be such enthusiasm for "Bring Your Pet To Work Month" at the SOUP Headquarters? I admit, I certainly couldn't pass up the opportunity to have my dogs with me all day. It sounded the best of all possible worlds, right? Loving companions keeping you company while you chased down various creative muses - who could ask for anything better?! Just look at these faces of Koda and Sydney, my English Springer Spaniels!
Unfortunately, reality is often nowhere near the idyllic concept. Instead of happy companionship and peaceful writing, our office inexplicably turned into utter chaos. We had everything from your basic dog/cat/pygmy puff to mooncalves and thunderbirds. Even a basilisk showed up, although we did take proper precautions and blindfolded it to prevent petrification.
However, in all the chaos, it became increasingly difficult to keep track of whose pet was whose. This brings me to a lovely little task for all of you, dear readers. We're offering a small reward to anyone who can help us untangle this mess in our files. It's all quite simple really - just match up the creatures with the column they appear in. That way, we can be sure that none have escaped to wreak havoc (yes, I'm looking at you, pixies!)
