Welcome back for another edition of Legends Among Us! This will be the fourth edition of the article since we brought it back. I truly hope you have been enjoying it as much as I have.
I do have a special treat for you guys. Being this is one of the happiest and most celebrated times of year, I have a guest. Perhaps the biggest Legend in our house, Salazar Slytherin! Of course he can't be with us today. (He's such a busy man and all.) He did send in a letter that I'd like to share with you all now.
"My ambitious snakes,
I hope you are all fairing well. It is the time of year were we should all be jolly. I, however, am not. Hopefully with your help that may change. I do have some... favors to ask of you snakes.
On December 24th, I don a green plush suit. Silver fur trim adorned, never white. Only silver does green justice! Every thing must be ready for HEXmas day. I pack a sleigh full of presents. Hitch eight eager snakes, ready to go. As I board the sleigh I will double check my list. Going through the names on "Naughty" and "Nice". The reigns in my hand as I shout, "On Cobra, Copperhead, Cottonmouth, Viper, Mamba, Krait, Taipan and Boomslang."
Now, here is where my first request begins. I ask that you all finish your homework and go to sleep early. Please don't try to stay awake. I won't visit if you try to catch me. Coal will be the least worry. The spirit of Salazar Claus must spread much like the muggle Santa Claus.
My second request. Remember to be kind and giving. This can be an anxious and stressful time. Greed and hate must not be spread.
My final request... for now.
Finish your homework. Participate in earning House Points. I grow tired of hearing Rowena bragging on her birds. I want the glory you all deserve. Let's do our best to out them. Be the best snakes you can be. That's my only HEXmas wish this year.
This HEXmas season enjoy all the offerings our HEXstaff works so hard on. Without them this wouldn't be possible. Now, off you go. Grow those poinsettias, catch those REs, have fun. Nothing pleases Salazar Claus more than smiling, happy students.

There you have it! Salazar has spoken. I, for one, will be listening to his every word. I can't wait for him and his eight eager snakes to come visit. I hope everyone enjoys their HEXmas and any Muggle holidays you may partake in.
